#quiltsky #quilting My friend bought me a quilting decision maker die for my birthday, and I've used it the last 2 days. I rolled "start a new project" and "finish an UFO". After I started the new project, it became a ufo, so I basically did this quilt top in 2 evenings.

#quiltsky #quilting My dinosaur activity quilt came back from my longarmer, so I was able to sew on the flaps and the pocket. It came out just like I saw it in my head!

#quiltsky #quilting I bought some Christmas pre-cuts at a fabric/rummage sale last weekend, and used some of them to make this Christmas tree quilt.

#quiltsky #quilting I bought this as a panel in a buy one get one free deal. It's meant to be a soft book, but I was hoping that I could turn it into an activity quilt. It needs border, but I think it's going to be cute once it's all together.

#quiltsky #quilting I had bought this as a mystery kit. I got impatient and didn't lay it out as well as I should have, but I'm pleased nonetheless. I think I will probably remake this one at some point, but with fewer patterns with writing in them. My brain can't handle this many directionals.

#quiltsky #quilting I've been home from school all day because I had an afternoon of dental work, but somehow I managed to finish my block challenge wall hanging and cut and assemble this cute Christmas kit I bought a few months ago. I'm definitely making this quilt again. It's too damn cute.

#quiltsky #quilting My local quilting group is having a mystery block challenge. I picked a random pattern & had to make it in red, white, & blue. I think I'll triple it & turn it into a wall hanging. I've been hanging on to this paisley scrap for a few years, and am pleased with my color matching.

#quiltsky #quilting Another unfinished project has been finished. I had most of this quilt together with one of the patchwork borders, but never got around to finishing the bottom. It feels good to sew again!

#quiltsky #quilting With school starting again, I've kind of lost my energy for sewing, but I'm trying to get it back. I started piecing this several weeks ago, but got back to it tonight and got the top finished. It's a very small project, but I'm pleased.

#vectrex #retrogaming We found our holy grail this week! A local online auction house was selling off a huge gaming collection and we snagged a Vectrex w/ carrying case & 6 games (including a multi-cart) along with 3 lots of Atari stuff that had some excellent items I need for my collection.

#quiltsky #quilting Also had time today to bind these 2 throws. I bought the fabric for these quilt tops at a garage sale last year. They were two gallon bags filled with precut rectangles, and they were a dollar apiece. I couldn't resist. I did my best to use as many of the pieces that I could.

#quiltsky #quilting Today was the last day of my 29th year of teaching. I'm looking forward to having more time for my projects. Tonight after graduation, I made a block I've been wanting to make using some remnants. I really like how it looks. I'm hoping I can stretch the rest and make a throw.

#quiltsjy #quilting I got this quilt back from my longarmer yesterday morning, and got the binding done last night. It's a graduation present, so it was first on my list. I used some of the leftover backing to put a piping on the front binding. I'm very pleased with how it turned out.

#quiltsky #quilting A local quilt shop is closing, so their entire inventory was 55% off. I treated myself too a bunch of new patterns, and a few cute small project kits. This is a 10-in Square Mini quilt. Fussy, but kept me busy. I think it turned out cute.

#quilting #quiltsky I got a free charm pack at a quilt shop event, & decided to try out this baby quilt. I really like it, and I'm proud of myself for not getting too bogged down in making it balanced and orderly. Trying to learn to lean into the chaos. Also got the binding done on an old project.

#quilting #quiltsky Finally got around to trimming this jelly roll quilt and getting the border on. It's going to be a graduation present. It's my first jelly roll project, and I'm not sure that I like the medium, but I'm happy with how it turned out.

#quilting #quiltsky I wasn't sure what I was in the mood to sew once I made it to my sewing room. I made hearts from my jelly roll scraps, but then felt in the mood to do a fussy paper piece pattern that I impulse bought after christmas. It turned out OK, but I forgot to switch to Black thread.

#quilting #quiltsky Today was extremely busy, but I had about 45 minutes, so I made a couple book blocks before heading to my second job. I bought some FPP patterns today on a whim. I cannot wait to make them for display in the quilt shop I work at. I'll maybe have time to start on them next week.

Then after work, was inspired to finish a few small projects, so I got around to binding some former UFOs that I finished up last fall. The gold & black is just a throw, and the minky doll sized.

#quilting #quiltsky Today was busy for a Saturday, but I managed to squeeze in a couple of book blocks. I realized that four of the seven books I have completed are red, so I picked up some fat quarters in gold, greens, and grays, to mix it up a little bit.

#quilting #quiltsky It's been a very hectic week, but I still felt like sewing. Went ahead and sashed my Christmas present quilt. I need to figure out what I'm doing with the finished item, and decide what borders to add. Overall, it was a really fun quilt to make.
