I'm in the husband crèche at the garden centre consuming a bacon and egg barm and a cappuccino whilst the boss is busy inspecting plants. That might be harmful to my credit card but at least I ate bacon.

🥪 Crisp Sandwich Day is next month, so please do get in touch if you want to do something daft for it, whether it’s a workplace thing or you run a pub/cafe or you’re going to run around in a crisp sandwich suit, whatever

More QMX+ progress. The GPS works with the antenna outdoors. So time and location are updated automatically. I've also been heard on WSPR so the transmitter works too. About 1000 miles / 1600 km with 1w is a good start. #HamRadio

I've just finished building my QRP Labs QMX+ kit. I was pleased to see it power on first time and the firmware update was easy too. I've listened to FT8 on 40/30/20m so the receiver seems OK. I'm half way through the operating manual and will try the TX when I've read the instructions. #HamRadio

Introduce yourself with 10 acts or bands you’ve seen live. Pink Floyd The Rolling Stones Rush Elton John Steve Hackett Peter Gabriel Mike Oldfield Genesis Lindisfarne The Enid

We went to watch the end of stage 2 of the Women's Cycling Tour of Britain this afternoon. The cycling was over in about 30 seconds, but the rest of the afternoon was fun.

I'm getting fed up with Bsky users who only accept replies from their followers. That's an echo chamber. Why can't Bsky give us a feed that only contains posts that we can reply to?

An indication of how low crime levels are here. Someone has left their phone charging unattended at a charging desk next to us. That's in a very busy airport. Would you do that in the UK?

It's time to go home. We're at Nanning airport waiting for our flight to Beijing and then onwards to Manchester. In 20 hours we should be home. Not sure when we'll be back but I'm sure it won't be too long.

The highest washing line I’ve seen has an amazing view. We’re staying in the 24th floor but you have access to the roof (33rd floor) to hang your washing and enjoy the views at the same time.

I'm guessing most people know where London is. I'm in a Chinese city, Nanning, that's nearly as big as London (8.5m vs London's 9m). How many of you have heard of Nanning or could point it out on a map?

Only a few more days of Chinese breakfasts before we're home. Today it's dumplings (pork and lotus root, and pork and sweetcorn) and warm soy milk. On Tuesday I'll be back in toast and coffee. Or maybe we still have some dumplings in the freezer. Nothing like fresh ones though.

Tonight's new food - pigs ear. It's a bit chewy but not too bad. Tonight's new drink - rose wine. It's a bit chewy but not too bad. Only joking, the rose wine isn't chewy. Washed down with about £100 of Maotai.

I’ve just lost my durian virginity 🤣 I’d always been to scared to try before. Opening the box unleashed the smell. I was given a glove to wear and then it was the point of no return! After all that it’s OK. A bit mushy and quite sweet. Luckily you don’t notice the smell when eating it.

Waiting at the traffic lights and look what pulls up next to us. It’s a parcel delivery vehicle. I’ve seen them driving around but never been next to one on its journey.
