The sudden popularity of VHS is definitely one of the weirder trends I didn’t think would ever come back.

My dog Freddy. He makes sure a little bit of his fur makes it’s way into every one of my paintings. #dogs #dog #doggos

Monster designs I made for Good Luck Sock. I love creating our Halloween designs. Since I'm also the social media guy, I took them out for a little light trespassing and filming. The more monster socks we sell, the more monster socks my bosses will let me make! #wip #artwork #illustration #sockart

Artwork created for the Probably Cursed Podcast. Acrylic on canvas. It depicts the earliest sighting of the Beast; in the 30's a night watchman witnessed a large beast clawing the ground of a Native American burial mound. #painting #cryptidart #beastofbrayroad #werewolf

Along with making art, I co-create a podcast with my wife! If you want some spooky listening made by a couple Canadians, listen to to Probably Cursed - probablycursed.net

“Careful, They’re a Hugger”. 5x7 acrylic painting on canvas board alien artwork. #darkart #scifiart #aliens #artwork

New artwork, “Careful, They’re a Hugger”. 5x7 acrylic on canvas board. Available on my E҉T҉S҉Y҉. #darkart #horrorart #artwork #painting

Black Cat acrylic on canvas. Black cats have a vibe. They are a dark mysterious void from whichtwo eyes shine out like omniscient lanterns. I hope I captured that otherworldly aura. #darkart #artwork #painting #cats

Did you know my day job is an illustrator for Good Luck Sock? They're a Canadian company located where I live in Edmonton. If you're looking to support Canadian, and get something nice for yourself or someone else, check them out! #canada #canadiancompany #shopcanadian #elbowsup

PSA for all my fellow Canadian artists with online shops. The new US tariffs will apply to your paintings, art prints, jewelry, etc. Double check your Etsy pricing (or online store pricing) for US orders. 50% is a hefty fee to absorb. www.carfac.ca/en/news/new-...

I've been in a spooky mood lately. Here is a sneak peek at my next piece, "Boogey Man". #WIP #darkart #scaryart #creepy

Sometimes you need to get away from it all. Permanently. #newart #illustration #artwork #darkart #drawing

A new t-shirt design added to my TeePublic and RedBubble. If you think about it, those drinks go right through Mr. Skeleton. #spooky #gothic #macabre #skeletons #darkhumor

‘MIGHTY CTHULHU’ now on my redBuble and T-Public. #lovecraft #darkart #monsters #necronomicon #horrorart

This one took a while. 'Mighty Cthulhu' is now on my RedBubble - check bi-yo for link. #cthulhu #lovecraft #art #darkart #illustration

Bigfoot in flamingo floaties design I illustrated for Good Luck Sock that got released this year. Looks so summery. Looks so relaxing! I wish I could be a bigfoot too.

Hey Edmonton, we’re taking part in Game of Shrooms 2026 by hiding some funky mushroom socks designed by our in-house artist @chrismoet! They’re yours… if you can find them. #gameofshrooms #gameofshroomsyeg #yeg #edmonton

Dont give up

Come out to @northofordinaryevents Alt After Dark Market and visit me on this dark and stormynight. #yeg #yegevents #edmonton #altyeg #yegartscene

My first market of the year is coming up! #yeg #yegarts #yegartist #edmonton

Floral Dinosaurs for @GoodLuckSock.com. Some of my most popular designs are dinosaur related. Either I'm really good at drawing them, or everybody loves dinosaurs no matter what. Either way, I'm happy to have a job where I get to draw them. #art #artwork #apparelart #sockart

Bats for @GoodLuckSock. One of my favorite Calvin & Hobbes storylines is Calvin's report on Bats. It's a good lesson to fact check your own assumptions, and not double down on what you feel is correct. #apparelartist #art #artwork #sockart

Decidedly I am a Shaniac. His ghost hunting attitude is most like mine. I don't expect to find ghosts, but I like spending time in places with rich historic spooky vibes. Ghost files thing doesn't work without Ryan though, so I am also a close Boogara. Buttons www.etsy.com/ca/listing/1...

I’m not sure who originally came up with the curse, ‘may you live in interesting times’, but the White House bickering with the Pope over the acceptability of war might mean we’re currently being cursed with interesting times.

Honeybees for @GoodLuckSock. Some things are deceptively hard to draw. In this case, bees. You'd think there wasn't much to drawing these small fuzzy guys, but drawing them wrong is a billion times easier than drawing them right. Much like drawing hands. #art #artwork #artist #sockart #apparelartist

Easter Dinos for @GoodLuckSock. A hard part about getting older is your favorite candies get discontinued; or some corporate nerd decides to corrupt the original recipe. I used to love Cadbury cream eggs, but they're so terrible now it's like eating a sugary crayon. #art #artist #apparelartist

Corgi Soldiers for @GoodLuckSock. The history of using animals in warfare is fascinating. Dogs have been employed to deliver supplies, food, pull sleds, and in WW2, deliver bombs to tanks (don't google if you were hoping a good outcome for the anti-tank dogs) #art #artwork #apparelartist #sockart

Beaver design for @GoodLuckSock. One time I briefly became internet famous with my beaver Flatten the Curve poster at the start of the pandemic. As an artist you can't predict what will catch the eye of the people - that or the internet loves when you post a beaver pic. #art #artist #apparelartist

'Monkey's Paw'. Avail on my Redbubble (Link in bio). While my day job has some nice overlaps with my own interests, there's some esoteric and extremely specific interests I don't get to explore, so I still work on art on the side. #art #artists #illustration #apparelartist #artwork

'Crazy Golf' for @GoodLuckSock. In the 00's, I got unlimited free play access to a Golden Tee arcade machine. I found out if you hit your golf ball into the trees, and just kept going, you'd eventually reach the White House with a UFO on the lawn. #art #apparelartist #sockart #art #painting

Swans for @GoodLuckSock. I'm an eldest sibling; I was forced to endure my youngest siblings' shows. Why bring this up? Swan Princess was played 8 million times in my home growing up. My burning hatred for that movie will outlast the heat death of the universe. #art #artists #apparelartist

Komodo Dragons for @GoodLuckSock. Reptiles have fascinated me since I was a kid. In Canada, I don't see too many wild reptiles other than snakes. Which is why I always love going to Mexico; so many iguanas around Cancun, and lizards in around early morning Teotihuacan. #art #sockart #apparelartist

Bigfoot at the Lake for @GoodLuckSock. I'm not sure if Bigfoot is real, but looking for him is a lot of fun. I went with my wife to Harrison Hot Springs, the Bigfoot sighting capitol of Canada, and we didn't find him, but we did find the Bigfoot Museum. #art #artist #apparelartist #sockart

This is from 2020. They're right back where they left things off when Covid interrupted things.

Army design for @GoodLuckSock. A guy I used to work with spent time at Mount Cheyenne for NORAD things, and my other co-workers would constantly pester him asking if Stargate Command was real and located in the basement there. #art #artprocess #sockart #apparelartist #sockartist

Box Wine socks for @GoodLuckSock. I never had boxed wine before I met my wife; I sort of knew about it's existence as being a joke. But now I've tried it, I gotta say I'm a fan. I not a sommelier, so your mileage may vary if you try it too. #art #sockart #illustration #sockartist #apparelartist

Battleships for @GoodLuckSock. Semi warship related; recently I watched The Philadelphia Experiment. What a cheesy movie. Main character forces girl to drive him around at gunpoint, then she falls in love with him for no reason except maybe Stockholm Syndrome. #art #artprocess #sockartist

Doe & Fawn made for @GoodLuckSock. I heard a fact: the most dangerous animal to people in north america are not bears, wolves, or sharks, but rather deer. Apparently during the rutting season, deer account for more animal attacks than all other animals. #art #artist #sockart #sockartist

Grizzley Bear pattern for @GoodLuckSock. One of my earliest memories of thinking 'hey, maybe I can draw' is from grade 2 when I was doing a science report on bears. My bear drawing actually looked like a bear, which is hard to do when you're 7. #art #artist #sockart #sockartist #illustration

Axolotl pattern made for @GoodLuckSock. Planning my recent trip to Mexico City I had a friend tell me that axolotls were native to there. I looked and unfortunately couldn't find any during my stay. I guess I hoped they were hanging out everywhere like pigeons do. #art #artist #artwork #sockart

Shit Storm for @GoodLuckSock. You know what's weird about the poop emoji? It's not the usual shape for a poo. But the usual shape never gets depicted (aside from Mr. Hankey). Is a coiler more aesthetically pleasing? Do people have aesthetic preferences for poop? #art #artist #sockart #sockartist

It’s getting so bad that if I notice AI on a site, I’m just assuming the whole well is poisoned. There is so much AI generated images on Amazon/Etsy/etc that I’m suspicious of the whole site.

The internet was the best tool that helped people learn about the world outside their own world. Sure there were liars, but you could source your info from many places to negate that. But now there’s so much hallucinated AI content online, it’s almost impossible to educate yourself.

And the same with trying to find reference photos on the internet. If you’re looking at animal photos created after AI blew up, most of the photos have anatomical innacuracies.

AI is just ruining the internet. If I’m reading an article or blog written after 2023 there is a good chance it turns out it’s written by AI. No one is editing out the AI hallucinations that appear in them. And since the people in charge aren’t even bothering to read them, they never get fixed.

I'm assuming you're in the mood for dinosaurs, so I am bringing you another design made for @GoodLuckSock released this year. I tried a different art style this time to make these triceratops' skin look extra pebbly. #dinosaurs #dinosaur #triceratops #threehorn #ilovedinosaurs #idigdinosaurs

I'm excited I can share some more recent work I made for @GoodLuckSock! For this one, I used my Velociraptors design success as a springboard. T-Rex is much bigger, I opted for some palm trees for him to peep out of. #Dinosaur #dinosaurus #trex #apparelartist #patternartist #sockartist

A year ago no one would have believed that the US government would be terrorizing, of all places, Minnesota. Just think what unbelievable things will happen next!
