The average family that heats their home with oil is going to pay $1500 more this winter because of Donald Trump’s insane Iran War. Some people will go cold. Some may die. This isn’t hyperbole. This is the consequence of having a president who just doesn’t care about you.

Volunteers in Minnesota told me the smallest crowds this year are bigger than the largest crowds in 2024. People here love Peggy Flanagan - a mom, a community organizer, a fighter for working people getting crushed by corporate power. I was so excited to campaign with her!

Just landed in Minnesota to rally voters and volunteers for the only pro- worker candidate in this race: Peggy Flanagan.

Working families are struggling right now because corporations call the shots and extremist billionaires benefit from the status quo. It doesn't have to be this way. I’m the only candidate in this race refusing corporate PAC money because I answer to Minnesotans — and no one else.

I’ve spent time in Michigan campaigning and raising money for state house candidates. Dems need to pick up only 4 seats to win the majority back! Great to see House Dems Leader Puri. He’s doing a great job!

At a Michigan Senate debate watch party in Detroit with @AbdulElSayed supporters. Mike Rogers spent the debate defending the Iran war and Trump’s tariffs. And he closed by saying he opposes background checks on guns - a policy with 90% public support. Not a winning message!

JD - I've got 15 free minutes before my son's hockey practice ends, so let me see how many of Trump's enrichment schemes you didn't see that I can remind you of. 1/ First one is easy: Trump has executed over 30,000 stock trades, many on inside information, netting him millions.

7/ Listen man, we get it. If you work for Trump, you agree to lie and let you boss steal from taxpayers. But NO ONE believes you. 2/3 of voters now say your boss is enriching himself. And guess what? It's now the number one issue for voters this fall.

4/ Trump cut a deal with Kazakhstan to make his sons rich off a mining deal. And then he approved $1.6 billion - BILLION - in taxpayer financing to further help his sons. Like wild, nuclear grade self enrichment. Missed that one, JD? Kazakhstan!!

5/ Trump bought up to $1.6 million of Nvidia stock in August. But guess what? He did it because he knew Nvidia's stock was about to jump because he was about to announce the lifting of export restrictions on Nvidia chips. JD - did you not see that?

3/ Just 15 minutes before Trump announced a U-turn on Iran policy, billions of dollars’ worth of contracts were placed that’d predict oil prices would fall. CFTC staff began to investigate, but were told to lay off. More insider trading - that JD didn't see!

Early voting has started in Connecticut and I voted today at my polling place in Hartford! It’s time for all of us to make our voice heard. To support our favorite candidates and to send a message about Donald Trump’s war and his corruption.

Read this article about the childrens' lives that have been forever changed by 3 minutes of terror. Then go down to your early voting site and vote out every politician who cares more about the gun industry than our kids. www.cnn.com/2026/10/17/u...

cnn.comIt took just 3 minutes. How the Bend school shooting unfolded | CNNA teen killed three children and a teacher in an Oregon elementary school before being shot by a bystander, police say. Follow for the latest on the investigation.

At thousands of No Kings events yesterday - including this one in Middletown, Connecticut - the people of this country made clear that in 16 days we are taking this country back from the would be autocrats and oligarchs. In America, the people still rule.

Meta took down the No Kings organizing page today - the biggest day of protest this fall. They provided zero explanation. It stayed down for the entire afternoon until most of the protests were done. Outrageous. Put this on the January investigation list.

Thanks to the Connecticut State Employees Union for having me come by the annual meeting in New Britain to talk about the vital economic and spiritual importance of labor solidarity.

Big turnout at the University of Central Florida for Angie Nixon! She and I did a town hall on how to take on concentrated corporate power and lower the cost of living for young people.

North Carolina Republicans closed the polling place on the NC State campus, so I went there today to talk to student leaders about the strategy to counteract this Trump-directed voter suppression effort.

I just got back from the Middle East. What I saw made clear that Trump and Hegseth aren’t telling the American people the full story about the cost and damage of this war. Here are my four biggest takeaways.

This level of naked, open corruption is unprecedented in our history.

How do I know Hegseth’s order to deny access to bases to members of Congress is about a cover up, not about safety? Because I asked for a military briefing at the embassy as a substitute and was told the policy prohibited military leaders in the region from even talking to me.

Something unprecedented happened during my visit to the Gulf. For the first time in 20 years in Congress, I was denied entry to U.S. military facilities and even meetings with military leaders. An order from Hegseth - that applies to both parties - to hide the cost of the war.

This is such a sick, evil thing to say. Especially because he’s not saying this as a joke. Just as sick that his supporters are laughing at it

Trump on Iran: Let 'em take out Los Angeles and San Diego, it's a small price to pay

I had dinner in Riyadh tonight with a variety of emerging economic and cultural leaders. We talked about how far things have come here under Vision 2030 - but also my belief that reform needs to continue.

The presence of American universities in Qatar is an important way for the United States to promote U.S. values in the Middle East and create more lasting people-to-people connections. I was glad to visit with Sheikha Hind Al Thani in Doha’s Education City

Something I’ve heard about during my trip to the Gulf? War profiteering. Often by U.S. companies. Let me tell you what I learned. And why a Democratic Congress should do something about it
