Do you dream of using the 'screen' terminal multiplexer on your DEC PDP-11 running BSD2.11? Your dream is now reality! I've just ported screen 1.1 (from 1987) to BSD2.11 and added the 'detach' and 'reattach' features from GNU screen. github.com/chrishow/scr...

Plucky little Antirrhinum tortuosum growing from a crack in the tarmac ☺️

This stuff is unreal! And super cheap (£2.30 for 300g). If I were served something with this in it in a restaurant, I'd call the waiter thinking they had accidentally used chicken 🤯 I made mee goreng mamak but was so eager to eat it I didn't get a photo. I wish we had this in Spain 😒

Remember those magazines that published listings of BASIC programs to type into your ZX81? I'm beginning to suspect they've published a Javascript issue, and that's where the code I'm working on came from.

Oh yeah, Denise. Farage and his band of Tory failures spend sleepless nights worrying about former mining towns in County Durham 👍🙄 www.bbc.com/news/article...

When AI takes my job, I'll sell these on the beach for €1 each. Who's in?

They said it couldn't be done (or maybe they were saying that it would be pointless to do it), but now there's a solution for your ancient UNIX gzipping/ungzipping needs: gzip/gunzip for PDP-11/2.11BSD. github.com/chrishow/gzi...

Frustrated by the lack of sudo on your 1975 DEC PDP11/70? Be frustrated no more! I have completed a port of sudo 1.3.1 to 2.11BSD (with a lot of help from Claude Sonnet). github.com/chrishow/sud...

A Christmas visit from a chilly Monarch butterfly. They eventually warmed up and flew away. Canarian Monarchs don't migrate, they are here year round.

British actor version: He went to Eton.

Vegan 'boeuf' bourguignon! Meaty-looking bits are textured soy protein.

Yes, YouTube, I watched a review of an impact wrench seven days ago, so now I *obviously* want half of my 'Recommended' videos to be impact wrench-related, and preferably in French.

I passed my Spanish language exam 🥳🎉 86% I was a bit nervous about the spoken expression part because I got old man brain freeze, but I slayed it 😅 Citizenship here I come! 🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸

In Spain, forms which should not be photocopied must be completed with a blue pen, to ensure that the colour photocopier has not been invented.

Got a good view of Santa Cruz de Tenerife today

Flew return SCP - LPA with Binter today. I usually hate flying. Not _afraid_ of flying, just don't enjoy the experience. But 40 minutes in a sweet ATR 72 with lovely crew is a very pleasant experience 😊

Throwback to 1980s UK TV on my new profile page 📺 primesolid.com

Omigawd. This is epic! I can't wait to shoot myself in both feet with this. github.com/nunomaduro/p...

In the old days, when multi-column text sucked in HTML/CSS, about 50% of designs I received would have multi-col text. It's just occurred to me that since they became practical and useful, not a *single project* I've worked on has required one.

🚀 Major upgrade to my Salesforce Marketing Cloud Personalization 'campaign template' dev environment! 💥🔥 You can now develop your templates locally — with CSS pre-processing and hot module reloading — while injecting them directly into a live target page 🤯 github.com/chrishow/sfm...

Driving yourself mad developing Salesforce Marketing Cloud Personalization Campaign Templates? All that tumblr-style copying-and-pasting, typing into a tiny online editor, no css pre-processing? Now you develop them locally with hot module reloading and less.css! github.com/chrishow/sfm...

Developing for Salesforce Marketing Cloud Personalization? Firstly, you have my condolences. Secondly, here are some random tips I've put together to perhaps make it a little less painful. medium.com/p/b602d2d77174

Just took a giant telescope for a spin

In 1986, we didn't think it weird that Sgt Apone was smoking inside a space station.
