I wasn’t expecting to be hurt like this today. Searching for “old” emoji didn’t show people first, but a corded phone, pager, floppy disk, VHS, and fax machine.

This thread rocks, and I really dig the boring alt text on the photos. #a11y

within the enormity of the task we undertook Tuesday, moving this 800-ton behemoth 200 feet underground safely where she soon will begin a 3.5-mile tunneling journey, were some of the smallest of details. a braided cable. a welder's spark. in the magnitude and the minutiae, there is wonder. 🧵

“Go then, there are other worlds than these.” WKIT was almost always on my radio as long as I can remember, and I often listened to WZON for Red Sox and Maine hockey. Thanks for the years of tunes, @stephenking.bsky.social 🤘

Bangor Daily News@bangordailynews.bsky.social

King, who first bought WZON in 1983 and later came to acquire WZLO and WKIT, said in a statement that while he remains in good health, he is “feeling his 77 years,” and said it’s time to “get his business affairs in better order.”

Only about 8 months after release, this week I've finally been getting my first deep dive into a #CraftCMS 4 ➡️ 5 upgrade. Very big site with lots of customizations, many done to work around some incredibly complex element queries in v3 & 4. Content stored as JSON looks like a game changer.

Chris Violette
@chrisviolette.dev

We already had been storing preparsed JSON in a custom content column to populate some key data from deep element relations when an entry is saved. Due to the size of the DB, typical `relatedTo` queries just couldn't handle it "on the fly". The new JSON column will hopefully expand on that concept.

Bluesky is building infrastructure you can fully self-host or mirror. Alice did a great job in this blogpost capturing what is doable now, and how to do it. This network should live long past Bluesky PBC. Let's work together to make this network more resilient!

Hi everyone. The Onion, with the help of the Sandy Hook families, has purchased InfoWars. We are planning on making it a very funny, very stupid website. We have retained the services of some Onion and Clickhole Hall of Famers to pull this off. I can't wait to show you what we have cooked up.

nytimes.comThe Onion Buys Alex Jones’s Infowars Out of BankruptcyThe satirical news site planned to turn Infowars into a parody of itself, mocking “weird internet personalities” who peddle conspiracy theories and health supplements.

Don’t let this become The Bad Place

Luke (verified)@lukeacl.com

Bluesky will attract bad actors, it's not immune. The good news is you don't have to block them one by one, Bluesky has moderation lists managed by others (or even you) to help you mass block accounts as they turn up. All you need to do is visit the list, hit subscribe, then choose block or mute.

Looking for ideas for a CMS I could run on #Cloudflare Pages with a #Nuxt frontend. Ideally something that allows multi users & roles w/o additional cost and utilizing the CF ecosystem: D1 database, R2 storage etc @nuxt.com Hub is intriguing, but I hesitate with the 1 user limit for free edition.

You are up to date.
