Thanks to @sixpivot.bsky.social for coming on board as a sponsor for #DDDAdelaide 2026! Support for the local community is what keeps this event running and accessible, and we're really glad to have you backing the South Australian tech community again this year.

The real heroes of the world's most remote (AFAIK) software conference is @sixpivot.bsky.social. Without their support as an employer that truly embraces remote work, I'd never have been able to move out here and DDD Outback would never have been.

Thank you to @sixpivot.bsky.social for sponsoring again this year. True enablers of remote work for over a decade.

Less than two weeks to go! Don't miss this opportunity to hear from some great speakers, and share a campfire with them afterwards πŸ•οΈ See who's speaking at dddoutback.com

Alright, who wrote the code to sort labels in Gmail? I see you sorting numerically in the middle of your alphabeticals... tidy work sir/madam, tidy work indeed. I just noticed `_26 Foo` sorting above `_148 Foo` and was suitably impressed.

πŸ™ A big thank you to SixPivot for sponsoring DDD Brisbane 2025! Their support helps us keep DDD Brisbane accessible, inclusive, and community-driven β€” making it possible for more developers to come together on 6th December. We’re grateful to have SixPivot backing the Brisbane dev community!

Thanks to the amazing organisers that put on DDD Perth, the sponsors that fund it, and the army of amazing volunteers that make it possible. Rizal Farok was the best hype-agent a speaker could hope for, driving people into the room with promises of a "life-changing talk"! πŸ™‡

I spoke about MVP's. What they aren't, what they are, how to size them, how to scope them, and how to deliver them. The feedback I've received was fantastic, and I'm hoping to give this talk to many more people in the future.

🟒 To see some amazing talks (Kate Kirwin and @rendle.dev book-ended the day perfectly) 🟒 Some amazing discussions with people after the session 🟒 A beautiful tea towel 🟒 A brief catch-up with some Perth friends 🟒 Very little sleep

The real value is the friends we make along the way

To say I'm looking forward to this event would be an understatement. Sorry @scott.hanselman.com, you locknoted the wrong DDD - should have held out for one in the Australian outback πŸ˜†

We also have to thank the owner and manager of the iconic Nindigully Pub for donating the venue, without which we couldn't have run what looks like an amazing event. Thank you Burnsie and Tom πŸ™‡πŸ™‡πŸ™‡

My first trip here was >20 years ago. Friends bought it. We'd go on holidays, camp, and help out. Later we'd work the bar at NYE the Pig Races. I've had birthdays there even got married there. I'm excited to share it with fellow geeks. Agenda looks great, but sponsors still needed. dddoutback.com

We're just under a month away from DDD Outback. The agenda is published, but most importantly we need more sponsors! This is the cheapest event you'll sponsor all year: $500 to show your support for the software development community. That's small enough for some of you to expense! dddoutback.com

Come and work with me and/or any of these fine folks! Genuinely the best place I've worked. SixPivot are hiring πŸ‘‹ Senior .NET Consultant | $150K - 170K + super + benefits | Work from home (Australia) | Starting September | Apply here πŸ‘‰https://sixpivot.com.au/careers
