My shoulder pain is preventing me from getting much work done and I’m trying to remain reasonably frustrated and not become absolutely livid.

I mentioned it on Patreon, but not here, that my elderly cat was sick. He did pass away a couple weeks ago, but it was very peaceful despite how sick he was. We made him as comfortable as possible for that last week.

Thanks for the well wishes, y'all! Right now I can only work 1-2 hours spread out through the day. I've been scheduled with a physical therapist and got a standing desk that's been helping.

Patreon update will go up tomorrow with September's illustration. Trying to get back into the swing of things with this summer's craziness. It takes me a little longer to do things than I remember.

I'm trying out a standing desk to help with my shoulder pain. It's been giving me more options of how to hold my arm. Pretty helpful so far, but I still have to take breaks every 30 minutes, which my ADHD makes it difficult not to get distracted. It is good to draw, I'm super rusty.

God! I hope I don't have to move while doing hospice care for my cat. I feel like we just got him settled into a calm routine and it's almost his time. I just hope we don't stress him out too much before the end.

I woke up to my ceiling leaking water over my computer desk... so... y'know.... I CAN'T CATCH A FUCKING BREAK! So, with the dying cat, my shoulder injury, and now this, it's been a great summer. It's like the world doesn't want me to accomplish anything.

Turns out I have both a pinched nerve and the beginnings of arthritis in my shoulder as well as my drawing hand. cool cool cool cool cool cool cool cool cool cool cool cool COOL COOL COOL COOL COOL COOL COOL COOL COOL

Thanks for the well-wishes! I'll be okay, I've got some physical therapy and stretches to help with the pinched nerve. I've had a mild form of arthritis in my knuckles since my twenties. I just have it in my shoulder now, so I'll cope. I mainly need to not work for so long until the nerve's better.

This has been the shittiest, most exhausting two months of my life. Hopefully things will chill out in August, but it's not looking that way. (Just venting, no worries.)

I will admit that there is one thing I consistently do and that is add a paper texture overlay. I really like texture and when things are super smooth it looks too digital to me. Probably a carry-over from learning how to do digital art in the 2000's.

Last year I had run a poll on Patreon and folks had voted for a Goth. I wanted to go a step further and do a Pacific Islander Goth to see how it'd turn out. I rather enjoy the result :) Feedback appreciated! Find a textless alt of part 2 on my dA or patreon!

Instead of working on things I was supposed to, I hyper-fixated and wrote a space noir with WG elements. idk if or when I'll do something with it, but I need to get back to other work! 😰

In wg stories, are y’all curious about the psychological aftermath of an extreme gain on a character and that person dealing with their new day-to-day? Or you just like, nah, gimme that physical growth! I don’t wanna get deep!

Some games I've been playing recently: System Shock Remake (replaying) Graveyard Keeper Everwind Rogue Trader I want to be playing them right now, but I'm going to be a good boy and get my work done first.

System Shock was my first PC game and is a comfort game for me that I can replay a million times to chill out. Haven't played much of Graveyard Keeper, but it's very charming and I'm excited for the upgrade progression.

Everwind is a fun way to keep in touch with my brother who recently got into PC gaming. It's like Minecraft and Skyrim with an airship. Warhammer is cool and so is Rogue Trader. My old man eyes have a hard time with everything on the screen, but I'm figuring it out.
