Bots crawling Git repositories are so annoying. If they can't figure out how to not crawl millions of duplicate pages, they get to solve Anubis every 5 minutes.

Migrated from Apache to Caddy and it seems to be holding up much better. Might still set up Anubis at some point, just cuz (most) bots can go to hell.

Installed Fedora Kinoite. (1/2) 1. Installer failed to set up EFI and boot partitions, even manually. Had to create them in Windows. 2. Primary screen flashes black every 5 seconds unless adaptive sync is enabled. 3. Third screen is purple, and where KDE decided to put the taskbar for some reason.

4. After logging out, the login screen appears on the third monitor despite disabling it in the settings. 5. No way to manually update the system without opening a terminal?? 6. Updated the system and keyboard no longer works after logging in. Uninstalled Fedora Kinoite. (2/2)

I managed to get Copilot removed from pretty much everywhere on @github.com by contacting their support! First I asked them to remove complimentary free access to Copilot Pro, but I still kept seeing various Copilot buttons, and an option to assign Copilot as a reviewer. (1/2)

When I mentioned that, they flipped some switch on my account that is apparently used by Copilot abuse detection, and now it's gone for good (except a tab in the Settings). 10/10 would recommend (2/2)

Today in English headaches: If the use of "a" vs. "an" depends on pronunication, is it correct to write "a AAA game company", assuming most people pronounce it "a triple-A" and not "an A-A-A"? From a quick search, there are plenty of uses of both. I even found uses of both in the SAME ARTICLE!

I might have to start filtering my RSS feeds, I'm starting to get tired of @microsoft.com shoving Copilot into every fucking article. I tried it for over a year, it's not even that useful. Constantly advertising your crap won't make me want to use it again.

Unfortunately, JetBrains decided to sunset the standalone Writerside IDE in favor of the plugin. I installed the plugin into IntelliJ, opened a project, and the IDE froze. Incredible. Writerside EAP expires in 5 days, so I'm looking forward to reverse-engineering and bypassing the expiration check.

I'm genuinely tired of running into multiple brand new bugs in @jetbrains.com software on a weekly basis. At least we keep getting unfinished UI changes, instead of functioning software...

Looking into what it'd take to a Bluesky client, whose only purpose is showing desktop notifications in the style of my old TweetDuck app. I want to keep this brutally lightweight - just API calls to get timeline updates, and a Windows Forms popup. No bundled Chromium.

Hi everyone. The Onion, with the help of the Sandy Hook families, has purchased InfoWars. We are planning on making it a very funny, very stupid website. We have retained the services of some Onion and Clickhole Hall of Famers to pull this off. I can't wait to show you what we have cooked up.

nytimes.comThe Onion Buys Alex Jones’s Infowars Out of BankruptcyThe satirical news site planned to turn Infowars into a parody of itself, mocking “weird internet personalities” who peddle conspiracy theories and health supplements.

I’ve been on Bluesky for a while now and I’m glad a lot of new people are coming over from X, and if I had one tip for them it would be to get used to seeing drawings of beefy animals with dicks the size of Stanley tumblers.

Hi! You may know me from Minecraft mods, IntelliJ plugins, Discord History Tracker, or my old Twitter client TweetDuck. I've been less active on social media overall since Twitter killed 3rd party clients, but I'll occasionally check here and post development updates as I've been doing on Mastodon.

You are up to date.
