Our new seminar series on Dev. and Stem Cell Bio kicked off fantastically! Over 70 attendees and a discussion that wouldn't stop. We are bringing together invited scientists from 3 Frriburg Institutes and combine big concepts from animals and plants. Thanks to my co-organizer @aliseleit.bsky.social!
Last Wednesday we launched the Developmental & Stem Cell Biology seminar series! Bringing together research across plants and animals, the first session featured Joshua Frenster and Chengzhi Ren, followed by pizza & drinks. A great initiative by @joshifrenster.bsky.social and @aliseleit.bsky.social!
Welcome to Freiburg, Bakteriopolis!
We’re very happy to be part of the organising team and to bring this fascinating microbial world to Freiburg.

What are protein machineries if not "small wonders"? 🔬✨
Together with CIBSS and the Life Imaging Center, we recently hosted “Türen auf mit der Maus,” where 32 mini-scientists dove into the microscopic world! 🌟
It was a fantastic day of wonder and learning- thanks to everyone!

The @uni-freiburg.de is once again a University of Excellence!✨
This is a tremendous success for the entire University!
At CIBSS, we are proud to have helped lay the foundations for this achievement together with #FutureForests.
But something important has already emerged along the way:
Working together on a shared future has brought people together across faculties and unleashed an incredible energy. We have created a real sense of momentum across the University. That ‘spark’ has been tangible throughout and now we have the opportunity to turn that energy into meaningful change!
