The American people should know that if Donald Trump uses our military to carry out his threats against Iran tomorrow, every one of us is going to own a piece of the war crime.

The best, most comprehensive and insightful discussion of the current crisis in Iran that I have encountered -- a truly important conversation.

Why do I have the feeling that this is a head fake? In any event, Iran is rich in uranium ore so at best stealing its stockpile of the processed stuff buys some time.

I lived in Iran for several years, and witnessed Muslim holy days play out in the streets of some of the country's smaller towns. For what it's worth: a devout evangelical Christian here in the U.S. is a half-committed piker and a far left woke liberal compared to a devout shia Muslim in Iran.

Mr. Stephens here opines that the U.S. has "rid the world of an odious tyrant, and of several layers of his equally odious deputies." But I have a newsflash for him: we have our own tyrant and equally odious deputies right here at home.

It will be interesting to see the platform for regime change MOSAD and the CIA have managed to cobble together in advance of this war (if any...) Is the prince on the way to Tehran by special train? (History repeats). Have marines stormed ashore at Abadan and taken control of the refineries yet?

I know I should listen to Trump's speech, but I just can't stand listening to him or to the applause that his sycophantic Republicans offer up continuously. Just can't do it.

If the Supreme Court would get off its ass in opposition to the Trump administration's disregard for the Constitution with as much dispatch as they have done to support it, there would be a lot less chaos to contend with.

Don't you know that the Supreme Court gave Trump and his people plenty of advanced notice of their tariff ruling so the administration would have time to prepare their response? Trump himself has probably knows this was coming for weeks. Everything now is theater.

Three of our Supreme Court justices clearly have a VERY weird understanding of the Constitution or why this tariff question is so central to the separation of powers. But a glimmer of hope here anyway.

I voted in Texas today. There were two lines: D and R. 10 people in the D line, 1 in the R line. Lady at head of the D line got in an argument with R. She said "I voted Republican my whole life, but I just can't do it anymore. You should be ashamed." R got angry. Poll worker intervened. Hope!

There would be a tiny little bit of accountability if Donald Trump became the first president in the history of the country to be impeached and removed from office.

On the upside, Mrs. Trump is going to be on the target list of every crime gang in Europe for the rest of her life, and for every political gang that's looking for some ez financing too. She might want to watch a few Aldo Moro films -- and plan on spending a lot of time close to home.

Stay calm, have a plan to vote & have your vote counted in November despite whatever barriers the Trump administration erects by then -- and encourage your non-MAGA neighbors to do the same. Also -- give some thought to what happens after the election.
