Shakespeare fam, what are your favourite trans+ Shakespeares? we're talking productions, adaptations, media interpretations or examples of trans+ casting. I wanna hear about everything from fringe stages to the RSC!

thank you Vic Rodriguez for gorgeously and hilariously repping the queer to over 30 to birder pipeline. bowing down before the stunning Nicola Beck for speaking truth and rage to the power of words 🙌🏻 and @aubreyblakeledge.bsky.social for bringing the sound of giant tortoises fucking into my life

thank you Jay Mustafa-Holzapfel for the reminder of just how much fucking strength and bravery it takes to overcome the gender stereotypes and violence we do to become who we are, and Carmilla Williamson for giving queer self love and sensuality a voice 🔥

It struck me while listening to all the brilliant critical discussions @bsashakespeare.bsky.social conference on 'AI & Shakespeare' that AI is by definition man-made (gendering intentional). It isn't machines we're battling but human beings. The planetary and other ethical impacts are by design.

Should our attention be on AI or, as many presenters say, should we focus efforts on foregrounding and addressing the systems that have produced it? Esp appreciate the points on our complicity in legitimising destructive AI models - we ARE the makers. Can we demand better through our consumption?
