I write books. You consider reading them. “Sorry, We’re Funny,” a History of Canadian Comedy, will be released in late 2026. https://www.penguinrandomhouse.com/books/777133/sorry-were-funny-by-kliph-nesteroff/

When I was 6 years old Steve Martin came to my small hometown in the British Columbia mountains and made a movie called Roxanne. I had just finished kindergarten, stood on the sidelines for months and watched him make it. 40 years later, the mural commemorating that occasion remains.

Four people of note who were reading my stuff online, long before I ever published a book: Marc Maron, George Schlatter, Steve Martin and Norm Macdonald. I am very grateful for the help and endorsements they have provided me over the years.

November 2, 1996. “It’s over, Norm ... We won't be needing your Dole anymore." "Well, it was fun while it lasted. At least I still got Update." "Actually, Norm, I've been meaning to talk to you about that."

"Attorney Alan Dershowitz was back in the news this week and... Good Lord! Is he ugly! Take a look at the guy! I mean, this is an ugly, ugly guy! No two ways about it, an ugly character.” - Weekend Update, March 23, 1996

BREAKING. “I became friendly with Huntz Hall because we both smoked pot. I was such a fan of Huntz Hall and the Bowery Boys growing up. I was, of course, in awe of Huntz because he was such a funny guy. Huntz was known to have a very large penis.” - Art Metrano
