My poor cat Nigela got caught up in the serpentine belt of my pickup truck. I started it up and the engine felt odd, so I shut it off and I heard her screams! I open the hood and she was caught in the belt, I managed to get her free but there was a lot of blood. 1 life gone 8 more to go. She is OK.

I skinned, deboned & butterflied some chicken thighs, let them soak in a mixture of two eggs, 5 cubes of frozen crushed garlic, salt. Then I breaded with a mixture of Italian bread crumbs, pecorino & parmesan, parsley, black pepper & salt. Baked in olive oil 175c 20 min, flip 20 min, & fan for 5 min

Been using MS Office Lens to scan photocopies of old wills. The app is no longer available so had to sideload the apk file. Works great. It straightens the image and turns it into a legible pdf in a split second. With my folding stand for my phone I will be all set for Kresen Kernow.

Tip of the day. The Purina cat food plastic lids fit 32 ounce cans of beer perfectly.

Made a big pot of Pasta e Lenticchie. Nice economical dish unless you are in the USA! 340 grams of cherry tomatoes $6.99, a large head of organic garlic $7.99. Instead used some passata and a non-organic garlic for the dish. I reckon 10 cups of food for about $2.25 - $2.75 minus the cheese.

Florida stylee! Yardwork. Don't want to get skin cancer. The best goggles for yard work are these cheap Amazon swimming googles. $4 a pair. They are totally sealed of course so keeps dust and pollen out, plus they are tinted. I also use a pair for sanding dust that are not tinted.

It is with great sadness that my boy Rurpert died today. My wife & I were by his side when he took his final breaths. Earlier in the day he went for a walk as best he could around the garden. He ate as normal, groomed himself & then had a seizure. A few hours later another seizure, & then gone. RIP

SOBT as it is known in Orlando. South Orange Blossom Trail AKA The Trail, 441, Old Dixie Highway. An iconic 939 mile long American highway. When I lived in Hollywood I was about 1000 feet off of it, and nowhere in Orlando have I been more than a mile or so from this road.

So pleased Spain won the World Cup today. Argentina don't play football, they play to injure the other team, to disrupt the beautiful game. They have done it through the tournament and have gotten away with it. Finally some calls went against them and they couldn't play. Karma baby!
