Most immigrants Trump targets have been here 10+ years, paying taxes, raising families, contributing to our communities. Mass deportation would devastate our economy and tear apart the social fabric of America. https://itep.org/undocumented-immigrants-taxes-2024/

It always rubs me the wrong way when people refer to themselves as “visionary” in their bios. Only other people get to call you that.

If someone you work with is doing an amazing job, tell them! (And if it feels appropriate, let their manager know, too!) It really can go suuuch a long way.

Happy birthday to Joe Hisaishi, acclaimed composer of Studio Ghibli classics like PRINCESS MONONOKE, HOWL'S MOVING CASTLE and MY NEIGHBOR TOTORO! 🎂 Earlier this year, he received his first Golden Globe nomination for his score for THE BOY AND THE HERON. 🪽

As we near the end of 2024, I have some learnings of running two brick and mortar only stores. This will, by nature, need to be a thread, but know my heart is pure and I just want to be helpful / share My Truths. Backstory: I opened two stores at the end of 2023. 1/

Anyone have success with snowboard goggle prescription inserts? Or have any recommendations?

After tumblr died but before it was declared dead*, the site became mostly a Pig Wrestling** platform. * Tumblr is actually very much alive and quite cool now. ** As in the old adage, Never wrestle with a pig. You get dirty and the pig likes it. Anyway, twitter has entered its Pig Wrestling Era.

I hope one day someone close to me says that I have “outstanding moral fiber”

Hey y’all I’m thankful for so much but here is the short list: My best friend & wife Cate My tiny humans My chosen family My cofounder and ultra friend Kevin I’m beyond lucky to have these dingdongs in my life. Attached a picture of Kevin & I and peg leg Pete

My kids went to bed after 8pm. My wife @letsmakearuckus.bsky.social of many many years and I laid in bed reading our own books and sharing for over 3hrs then realized we didn’t @duolingoverde.bsky.social today in which we then furiously went learn our different languages. Life is strange and lovely

Spending a month on Bluesky has created a whole new model of a fight we need to be having right now. Not liberal vs. conservative or whatever, but respect vs manipulation. I am tired of being manipulated everywhere I go. That’s why I like it here, I feel like I’m in charge for once.

The Mac OS Control Panel by Susan Kare is such a remarkable UI. It was designed in 1984 without any text labels and fits in only 315x158 pixels.

The new OP-XY by @teenageengineering.bsky.social is everything I’ve been looking for in a groove box device. Just “scored” a recent tutorial vid I made with it while on a flight.

Love finding random kids books at the shops.

When I was 20 years old, I got an email from a woman who owned a mid century motel in PA. She asked me to design a new logo for the motel, and I began relentlessly studying the history of motel signage. I wanted to try to make something that felt like it had always been there. #design

I have read some of BRZRKR but not bloodlines and I loved the Lone Wold and Cub movies I didn’t know there was manga series! Stoked to try both.

Quick #designsky updates: made a new starter pack of designers to go along with the custom feed, and tweaked the feed to include extra designy keywords (so more posts will show up there.) Holler if you'd like to be added to any of this! go.bsky.app/3cUcyW1

More #designsky starter pack updates! The first one filled up (there's a max of 150 people) so I made a second one: go.bsky.app/ToZKKTt And here's the first one again, in case you missed it: go.bsky.app/3cUcyW1 Holler if you'd like to be added!

I made a thing

I was under the mistaken impression that this famed piece of lettering was from the 1970s. Here it is shown in a typeface specimen book from 112 years ago, the year the Titanic sank. It must be older than that, originally.

When people ask why I’m so pissed about politics in the US. This is why.

Enrique was one of the most kind, generous, and lovely people I’ve ever met. And he and Majo were like the spiritual leaders of the Bay Area—they just seemed to be connected to the universe in a way that few people (if any) are. Such a tragedy. 💔 www.designerfund.com/page/Remembe...

How does one separate art from the artist especially when it’s kids content that was meaningful to your childhood that you would want to share with your own kids? Many kids books, and movies were made by some terrible people.

I can't wait to get back to streaming this thursday✨️🔥!#tallgeese #monumentrepair #perfectgrade #gunpla #evan_designs_leds #custompaint

Where is Bluesky Design at? Because all I see is political posts?
