Congratulations Clare Glade-Wright on a wonderful first speech! Clare won the Legislative Council seat of Huon, becoming the first woman ever to represent her electorate 🎉 She joins the crossbench in the Tas upper house, where Independents collectively hold the balance of power! 💪🏻 Go Clare, go!

One Nation just won their first House of Reps seat, backed by Coalition preferences — and senior Liberals won't rule out governing with them. This normalises extremism. The only way to stop them is to back community independents like Michelle Milthorpe.

🚨 The High Court did something extraordinary: in a landmark judgment they struck out the entire Victorian election finance regime @zoedaniel.bsky.social has the scoop on what this means for Victorian elections and what it means for our democracy. Support The Fair Elections Case! Link in bio!

In the ‘Case of the Century’ the ACCC is arguing in court that Coles’ Down Down price campaign was actually a way to hide that prices were going Up Up as they jacked up prices first Who reckons it’s time for stronger penalties for misleading marketing? www.abc.net.au/news/2026-02...

We are on the cusp of the greatest intergenerational wealth transfer in history. Without action, it risks deepening inequality particularly on housing. Thank you to Marcus, 18, for reminding Parl we must act boldly now so the next generation can survive & prosper. #auspol #politas

AEC disclosures show more than $138 million in political funding in 2024–25 had no declared source under the current rules. When dark money & big donors shape our politics, public trust suffers. Australians deserve govts that are not fundraising from industries that profit when policy is weakened.

Australians are the world’s biggest losers when it comes to gambling. It’s a predatory system - the industry’s business model depends on people losing. What makes it even more disturbing is the ongoing acceptance of donations, gifts & perks from gambling companies by some MPs & Senators.

This week the High Court heard Hopper v State of Victoria, the first of two landmark challenges to electoral laws that prop up the major parties whilst making it far harder for anyone else to compete These cases go to the heart of #democracy: Who gets heard? Who gets funded? Who gets locked out?

In December, over 50% of eastern Australia’s power came from cheap renewables, cutting prices and replacing dirty fossil fuels. Clean energy works and improves yearly. Support pro-climate independents to secure a 100% renewable future—donate, share, and vote for change! www.climate200.com.au

Rural Australia doesn’t deserve this. No one in Australia does. But this is exactly what climate science has predicted. Together we can climate-proof Australian politics, and protect this wonderful country of ours.

The major parties have rewritten election rules, making it almost impossible for anyone else to play 🎲🏠 Zoe Daniel and Rex Patrick are taking the duopoly to the High Court. Because when the game is unfair, it’s voters who lose out. Chip in via the link in bio to help them level the playing field.

Fossil fuels or our future? 🔥🌏 The government is about to set Australia’s 2035 climate target. Scientists, independents, and business leaders all agree: it must be ambitious. Support our mission of climate-proofing politics for good. Join the movement today. #netzero #auspol #climateaction

Will the Liberal Party finally shift back to the centre? The Nationals’ extremist agenda has gutted the Liberals' base, both have been relegated to observers in parliament. Independents held strong in once Liberal heartland, and voters sent a clear message. Maybe, the Liberals will start listening

The federal Coalition is splitting up for the first time in 38 years, after the joint parties suffered a historic election wipeout. Will they reconsider their stance on climate? What the 2025 federal election shows is that no party without a credible climate policy can win government.

Another historically Liberal seat has gone independent—congratulations, @nicboele.bsky.social! Nicolette secured the biggest swing against the Liberal Party in ’22 and has returned to win. She brings a strong head for finance, responsible investment, and clean energy to Parliament. #AusPol
