Good Lord, the Alamo Drafthouse is so lame now…

Currently watching 9 to 5 (again). Performances ranked from best to less best ( since they’re all good) 1. Tomlin 2. Coleman 3. Parton 4. Elizabeth Wilson 5. Fonda

Currently have L&O on in the background and Elaine Stritch is the defense attorney. Being reminded that her voice alone is one of the wonders of the world.

More and more I think that whenever anyone (including myself) weighs in on an election, we should be required to state where we live. Some random retiree in Vermont, for example, giving advice on the Florida senate race or the Texas governor's race is inherently ridiculous.

Good Lord, the Canadians on this website are annoying and insufferable even by Bluesky standards.

Post a perfect album from the 90s that isn't nirvana, soundgarden, pearl jam, or alice in chains.

Unsolicited advice: If you are going to see a 3 hour movie in the theater, make sure that said theater has operational air conditioning.

Is there some way to block all “my pet died/is being put down today” posts?

This Talarico-Paxton contest is going to be *excruciating* because of all the political junkies on the coasts weighing in with advice and derision about things they know nothing about and actually don't care about...

As dumb as the RW is, sometimes I am just floored by how simple minded liberals/leftists/progressives can be about...so much.

The fixation some people have on Texas as the source of everything bad in the USA is so strange to me.

I wish the nationalization of politics would just die down a lot. I am so tired of people from all over the world acting like experts on politics thousands of miles away from them...

There’s a white guy wearing a bonnet in front of me and I can’t stop staring

My mean take: if I could block all mentions of people euthanizing their pets, I would.

My idiot cat still cannot wrap her old brain around the idea of daylight savings time and it’s sending me to the edge

Watching these returns makes me so upset that it doesn't look like Abbott will have a serious challenger next year.

My new whine- have we really given up on the idea of a library as a quiet space?

Istg it really feels like the US is just an employee of Israel

I love how, at the hint of a cold snap here, the eggs, bread, and milk aisles at the store are stripped clean as if the only food worth making during a deep freeze is French toast

Kraftwerk tickets secured-my week is done.

Bluesky now has over 10 million users, and I was #1,202,074!
