Just surfin' the web! 🏄

As I open up about my emotions in safe spaces, I’ve been so encouraged to see other men do the same. We all feel like there was an unwritten rule we were taught, as kids, that difficult emotions were to be hidden. There is real freedom in openly expressing them!

Here’s my 2025 experiment: I’m going to try to open up more and trust the outcome, whatever it may be. This is normally very uncomfortable for me! First thought on that note: As I age, I feel both a comfort that I won’t be some world-changer (in a grand sense) and also some sadness about that.

In the long run, I think Figma’s biggest competitor isn’t going to be Adobe, it’s going to be AI code editors. Just as Figma consolidated design, prototyping, and cloud collaboration, AI code editors will consolidate design and code.

I’m now buying the Windsurf hype. Loved Cursor initially, but Windsurf is more rigorous and produces fewer bugs when the prompts are well-constructed, in my experience.

One thing I’ve noticed about Bluesky is that the community seems to thoughtfully *read* posts. A lot of attention has been placed on content creators these days, but it’s also our responsibility as content *consumers* to slow down and thoughtfully absorb.
