I was thinking about cleaning the garage today, and how I have to do it to get my new floor poured. Then I remembered how my friends and I used to (in college and early 20s) give mundane jobs secret mission code names. Forgot how that used to give the boring crap a little edge of fun.

People talk about humans having a real 6th sense - being able to instantly count things visually with fairly good accuracy (like the toothpicks in Rain Man). I didn't get that one. I got the more useless ability to nail a trifold on a piece of Letter sized paper. So useful in the Internet age.

Just a reminder to anyone else raw doggin' life solo, it isn't always easy. Others don't sometimes realize how much they take their partners for granted or lean on them, but when it's just you, it can feel like you unlocked "hard mode". Stay strong - it'll be okay.
