emerald fennell's Wuthering Heights reminds me why i fell in love with movies as a child in the first place. the more i watch her films, the more i realize she makes movies for the teenage cinephiles and honestly i dig it. keep being you emerald 🖤

not your typical review with this one, more like a personal reflection, but needless to say, i loved it 🖤 #FilmSky #WutheringHeights

Forbidden Fruits is basically Mean Girls meets Free People but make it witchy and slasher, and honestly, it feels made just for me. Instant cult classic. The kills are epic. Lili Reinhart gives pure bubbly pop queen vibes, and the soundtrack slaps so hard. I’m obsessed 💅🔪

Sirāt is fascinating in its hypnotic beauty, but sadly not much beyond that. I really couldn’t get into this one—it’s one of those movies you either love or don’t. Not really my cup of tea, unfortunately. Gorgeous to look at, though! My review: fadeinbreatheout.substack.com/p/sirat-revi...

fadeinbreatheout.substack.com'Sirāt' Review - Hypnotic, But HollowOliver Laxe’s Sirāt feels like it wants to be an odyssey, but it’s the kind of journey that leaves you more exhausted than enlightened.

i have a feeling the bride! might end up being a jennifer’s body situation. i’m pretty sure it even had the same cinemascore. i remember loving that movie when a lot of people around me hated it. now my friends love it and it blew up with gen z. i’ll happily ride that same wave with the bride! lol

I absolutely adored The Bride so much. Growing up, I was always fascinated by the Bride, wondering who she really was beyond that brief moment in the 1935 film. This movie finally gives her that life. My review:

#TheBrideMovie is the film I’ve dreamed of since falling for The Bride of Frankenstein as a kid. Jessie Buckley and Christian Bale burn with raw energy, every frame electrified. Costumes, cinematography, atmosphere—pure, dark magic. Movie of the year 🖤

my heart aches for all those little girls ripped from this world, all because some orange fuck cares more about power and money than human life. it’s horrifying, and honestly, it’s shameful to be an american

it’s always about the shareholders, never the art. this paramount/wb deal will go down as the most disastrous, soulless moves in hollywood history. it’s bigger than just movies. this is going to cause damage in ways we can’t even fully see yet. scary stuff

reposting this list incase anyone missed it. it kind of blew up on letterboxd and now has over 300 movies. enjoy! maybe you will find something you will love! #FilmSky #Moviesky 🎬 #Sapphic #WLW #Lesbian #Queer

so, i spent hours curating a list of over 200 sapphic films directed by women. stories about women loving women just hit different when women are behind the camera. i would love for you to check it out or maybe recommend anything i’m missing. :) letterboxd.com/caonfilm/lis...

letterboxd.comsapphic films directed by womenquite frankly, sapphic films directed by women just hit differently. it’s not only about seeing women love women on screen, it’s about the care, intimacy, and details only women can capture. free from...

for those who don’t know: ALYSA LIU literally retired after the 2022 olympics, left skating for two years, went to college, lived her life, then came back, won worlds, and just won olympic gold. a comeback for the ages. i love seeing women win. i love figure skating. absolute cinema ✨

finally caught up with falcon lake (2023) earlier today, and all i have to say is: someone PLEASE, for the love of god, put sara montpetit in more movies. this girl channels anna karina, man, she’s so, so good. watch this if you haven’t! it's on tubi! :)

SAY IT LOUDER SO THEY CAN HEAR YOU IN THE BACK! i hate this so much lol

It's 2026. If you are still using keyboard noises on your phone, and you're in public, then you should have your phone confiscated until the end of the day and you can prove you have learned your lesson.

it’s insane, i’ve had people tell me i’m a terrible person because i loved wuthering heights. like, what are we even doing anymore, man? take me back to the early days of social media, or none at all lol

i get the criticism, valid criticism for this movie, totally fine, but that’s not what i’m saying at all. i just think people get so caught up in their analysis that they’ve forgotten what it was like to be a kid 🤷‍♀️ that’s where i’m coming from when i watched this movie lol

this interpretation reminds me of being a teenager, reading late into the night until the words blurred and sleep quietly took over. it feels like something pulled from that half dream state, soft, strange, and untethered from time or reality, existing in its own delicate, floating world

this may shock the world but as an english major i enjoyed the hell out of wuthering heights lol

Did you know Humphrey Bogart was buried with a tiny gold whistle from a charm bracelet he gave Lauren Bacall before they even married? It was engraved: “If you want anything, just whistle,” echoing her line in To Have and Have Not: “You know how to whistle, don’t you, Steve?”

Rewatched To Have and Have Not (1944). Lauren Bacall was the queen of cool, smoky voice, effortless slouch, a glance or whispered line that could cut through the room. She embodied danger, mystery, elegance. Not to mention her wardrobe in this movie was god-tier 🖤

i enjoyed emerald fennell's wuthering heights, and that’s coming from someone who’s read the book many times throughout my life and even written papers on it 🤷‍♀️ it's one of my favorites lol

I’ve been a fan of Charli xcx since the early MySpace days (yeah, I’m that old), and I’m just happy this movie exists and happy for her and how far she’s come. The Moment is a glittery farewell to the Brat era, and I’m excited to see where she goes from here. My review:

Ah fuck. This is really fucking sad. In high school, I got called 'Dawson' a lot because, for some reason, folks thought I looked like James Van Der Beek. I followed his career after that, by osmosis and actively, and grew to love it. A great loss. www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio...
