I've watched 10 minutes of the new Carrie series, and I don't care what year it's set in, I don't care what the other kids do to her. Carrie will always be 100% justified in her actions. Burn that school to the ground sweety.

It's cool and great that we can do neo-colonialism in 2026. I'm sure this won't have long reaching implications or have any negative drawbacks in the years to come.

President Donald Trump said the US has reached an oil agreement with Venezuela, a move he said will more than double American oil reserves, increase oil supply and lower gas prices. https://cnn.it/3SAXJj2

The CSRA has always been proud of our members in the LGBTQ community, and we were exceptionally happy to be present at Vancouver Pride. As the core concept of solidarity is community involvement, it's fantastic to see our members out and proud. Happy pride!

If I could snap my fingers and change any one thing I would make today a worldwide holiday to celebrate the day mankind first walked on the moon. We always need more holidays and celebrating and remembering the greatest modern achievement of mankind seems like something we should be doing.

I hear the tension behind this but it's worth remembering three things: - the enormous NATO power imbalance. Russia simply doesn't have the power to fight NATO. - Canada isn't in immediate risk of war that demands buildup. - arms races beget war. We're less safe better armed.

In this day and age, we're constantly on the brink of finding the next Franz Ferdinand. I'm no Carney fan—his investment in fossil fuels pissed me *all the way off,* but through gritted teeth, I have to support the military buildup in Canada, as the signs pointing to a global conflict are all there.

Let's all Morbius again and make the execs think we want this then not show up.

Vigilante Citizen is without a doubt the worst movie I've watched this year and I've seen some real stinkers. This far right power fantasy is really emblematic of the times and how detached people who think like this have become from reality.

I'm really tired of companies getting away with price fixing. If the punishment for the crime is just a fine then it's not really a punishment it's the price of doing business. If you are going to fine them, make the fines really hurt. If the company makes more than 1 billion 3 million is nothing.

The U.S. Justice Department and 17 states have reached settlement agreements with three major egg producers over allegations of that the companies illegally colluded in a multiyear scheme to raises prices.

What's more important? The long term stability of the climate for the survival of all species on earth, or the quarterly profits of a few companies?

Canada will not hit carbon emission reduction targets set under the Trudeau government, Prime Minister Mark Carney said in a video posted to YouTube. He argued that downgrading the country’s climate-change ambitions is necessary for global stability and national unity.

My steak is too juicy, my lobster too buttery ahh post

We are witnessing MAGA equivalent of destruction of Democratic Party through election of progressive Socialists. If you think this ends well for country, I believe you're sadly mistaken. Extremism on one side simply fuels opposite growth on other side. We need moderates.

Israel is committing an apartheid state committing a genocide before our very eyes and yet our leaders continue to lay a smokescreen for them.

A few years ago a woman recognized my name and kept gushing about some op-eds I wrote in the local paper over the years. It truly stunned me that someone had not only read them, but liked them and wanted me to write more.

On the flip side one time I wrote about a proposed sportsplex in the area and a guy hated what I wrote so much he tracked down my phone number and called me multiple times to talk shit about my ideas. The duality of man or something like that.

My favourite conspiracy is that everything is going to be alright

in honor of The Onion officially taking over InfoWars, what’s a conspiracy theory you 100% believe? Michael Jordan was doing the exact same shit as Pete Rose (gambling on games his team played in) during his playing career and Nike+the NBA have…done what it took to keep that quiet.

Those Elf on the Shelf memes were a giant marketing campaign by the company. No one had heard of it before them.

I don't think it's ethical to build a majority government through floor crossings and I think democracy works better when we have minority governments with opposition MPs working together to best reflect the interests of Canadians who voted them in and scrutinizing legislation
