Preview Seraj Assi's novel RED FLOUR with Inverse Journal. "In this particular excerpt, the narrator ventures from a bitter fantasy, survivor’s guilt and painful recollection to face the moral devastation caused by enforced starvation and war." buff.ly/yZyHEWn

Written by unhoused people & their allies, WE LIVE IN PUBLIC offers a first-person account of life under state violence. Throughout this book, Aetna residents & organizers use essays, interviews, & photographs to share strategies for solidarity and survival in a time of class war. buff.ly/OyRwSsM

Tending to inspiration from the cultural intifada and seeds gifted during a visit to a liberated Palestine, Désirée, Mia, and Adelaide reminisce on a precarious collaboration. In a dire time, they have irresistible fun, learning from sparkles in the eyes of crowds of children.

Six months before the Hunts Point Insurrection, three trans women gather on Samhain to reconnect and reflect on the three anti-imperialist theatre companies that led them to sustain their own collective from 2042-2049.

"This collection of Harry Cleaver’s published essays is invaluable for socialist organizers and theoreticians to re-center the working-class as the protagonist of struggle within late capitalist society." Julian Assele reviewed POINTS OF DEPARTURE for COSMONAUT.

With capitalism endlessly imposing work—which, as Harry argues, remains our “central issue”—the struggle against work is not only vital to creating spaces in our own lives for other activities and politics but for going beyond capitalism.

POINTS OF DEPARTURE is the definitive collection of Harry Cleaver’s best unpublished, translated, or lesser known writings—both historical and current—on working class refusal, class composition, unwaged work, debt, and what he calls the “inversion of the class perspective.”

Some folks have been waiting for the digital publications of some of our most recent titles. That moment has arrived! BORDERTOWN CLASHES, RESOURCE WARS, CONTESTED TERRITORIES; REMAKING DEMOCRACY; YES, IT'S POSSIBLE!; ME AND MINE; and MY CITY NEED SOMETHING are all available as EPUBs.

...what is even worse is that it is not even consistently applied. AI promises to destroy millions of jobs, way more than majoring in anthropology or art history, and somehow it gets a pass. It is the accumulation of wealth (by a few) and not work that is actually worshipped.

Cleaver's central focus on the refusal of work, the crisis of capitalism, and the how and why of Marxist theory is invaluable to our struggles today. Here we have Cleaver explaining how capitalism uses imposed work to organize society:

"Lyrical, formally daring, and emotionally resonant, THE SHADELESS BORDER is a poignant exploration of Kurdish experience and a compelling reflection on the fragility of home." —Essmat Sophie, author of DANCING AMID FIRE, RISING ABOVE RUINS

Set at the contested frontier between Iran and Iraq, Jiyar Jahan Fard’s masterpiece is a work of haunting intensity, written along the delicate line between Kafka and Kundera, and tracing the man-made boundaries that define the reality of modern-day Kurdistan.
