50 years ago, on the 9th of September 1976, Chairman Mao Zedong died. Today we remember this outstanding revolutionary who brought forward the science of Marxism for the whole world. We also soberly acknowledge how his death affected the Chinese Revolution.

Transphobic attacks on the Welsh Gender Service, supported by supposedly reputable media outlets like Nation Cymru, have now bourne fruit: Our sources in the trans community tell us that the Cardiff GIC has begun cancelling scheduled surgeries for trans patients.

🔥Burnham’s Bonfires🔥 The government’s totally inadequate response to the ongoing wildfires shows a shocking lack of concern for the people of this country, and breathtaking levels of incompetence.

The Welsh Underground Network's Statement Regarding the EHRC's Anti-Trans Guidance

WUN members have been hard at work at the Cefn Fforest Miners Institute this weekend. We're committed to making this new community centre a real success, not just as a social hub but as a place for workers to organise.

We wholeheartedly condemn the new anti-trans guidance this government have produced, and send unequivocal solidarity to our trans comrades & neighbours. We call on everyone, trans and cis, to defy this attempt to segregate trans people out of public life. 1/2

Nora Rhiannon writes on the hero worship we’ve seen on the left recently, the problem with chasing a “Mamdani moment”, Corbyn vs Polanski vs Iorwerth, and the only solution for the working class. A great read ahead of the Senedd elections, consider who you put your faith in…

Over a century of Welsh Labour dominance is ending, and the next Welsh government will either be led by Plaid Cymru or by Reform. Plaid Cymru are the better option, but its clear they're not offering systemic solutions to Wales' problems. Welsh workers need to build our own independent movement.

WREXHAM MAY DAY RALLY May 4th @ 12pm, just outside Guildhall, Wrexham. @communists.cymru
