Ok, after reading a lot from here newschoolrevolution.com I decided to start and learn different ways to write adventures for paper RPGs. So right now I made a tool that follows the dungeon procedure from Cairn 2E and I'm trying the OOK style of writing and also the Parenthetical style. 🎲✂️

I kinda always wanted to try and make some kind of text-based dungeon crawler with a main hub area and a dungeon next to it. So I started working on it and show you some nice stuff like the dungeon and the combat system (same as the ttrpg FLAIL). #gamedev #indiegame #screenshotsaturday #procgen

added caves generation, made a new sprite for the player. gonna work more on the cave because I want more sprite and vegetation in the caves. #gamedev #indiegame #screenshotsaturday #procgen

more work on the overworld thing from last night. added some town and castle with path to them. I still have no idea of what I wanna do with this but I'm gonna keep adding thing and we will see. #gamedev #indiegame #screenshotsaturday #procgen

this is how I spend my night. some kind of overworld gen thing. idk for what but I really enjoy making this algorithmic nature. maybe someone will walk over those lands one day #gamedev #indiegame #screenshotsaturday #procgen

Last weekend I made a small medieval city builder in ascii. Collect tax, pay for the upkeep of your castle and don't raise the taxes too much. I still want to add things to it; idk when it will be available or not. #ascii #gamedev #indiegame #screenshotsaturday #procgen

added a simple travel system for the game also there are road events now. I'm going slowly for this but I really enjoy working on this and making the simple UI and things. #gamedev #gamemaker #indiegame

ok, main gameplay loop is done. It was really easy since it was not a very long gameplay loop, it's just a fishing mechanic. now I need to design narrative choice and thing that will hopefully bring the game together. #gamedev

added basic combat, simple enemies behavior and item spawn + inventory and equipment tab. soon I will add proper stats for weapon and armor. #ascii #roguelike #gamedev #indiegame #procgen #roguelikedev

trying to create a ruined dungeon + cavern by mixing BSP and cellular automata. changed the color palette for the ruined dungeon. it's starting to look kinda nice. I really like where i'm going with this so far. #ascii #roguelike #gamedev #indiegame #screenshotsaturday #procgen

I wanted to record some of my #od&d solo play in a simple way since a only do dungeon crawling for the most part. So tonight I made this really simple tool that will help make the recording session a bit more visual. #ttrpg

prototyping some kind of naval skirmish game. made a really simple grid with some procgen for the island. don't know if I gonna do something bigger with this but wanna share this somewhere so here it is. #gamedev #gamedesign

was looking at the Alien Adventure Game Rulebook and was looking at how they made the Star Map and wanted to make my own small sector map inspired by it. Here it is ! You can use it as like you like. #rpg #ttrpg

So I have finally decided to improve my writing and narrative design skills by creating a small setting where I can make small stories. Already finished one small story that was a try at a certain style of writing, and it turns out pretty ok I think.. May publish them when I'm done. #gamedev

so my solo ttrpg about space exploration and crew managing is kinda ready (??) i just have to playtest it a bit more and maybe tweak some stuff but it's gonna be out maybe like in 2 weeks or something #gamedesign #gamedev #ttrpg #ttrpgdesign

well, time to start my new ttrpg project. idk when its gonna be finish since i wanna make something more polish and clean but its gonna be about travelling in space and trying to not lose any of your crew member during the voyage.. #gamedesign #gamedev #ttrpg

ok so i'm trying to make the HUD look nice and I think i'm getting somewhere now. Maybe it's time to make the inventory system and adding object to the world #ascii #roguelike #gamedev #indiegame #screenshotsaturday #procgen

Getting stuck causes players to explore the world. Dying causes players to think about what they're doing. An "impossible" situation causes players to learn how the game works and eventually achieve the impossible. We need to be able to design *some* games around these fundamental ideas.
