I'm sorry but these are intelligent, experienced people. They really should have spotted this stunt a mile off

The White House’s release of a video showing Catholic clerics praying over Donald Trump in the Oval Office sent shockwaves through the US Catholic hierarchy, which has been highly critical of many of the president's policies. ft.trib.al/l5DIA05

At the @iiea today, EU sanctions chief David O'Sullivan was asked about our investigation into Aughinish Alumina. He said Irish alumina “undoubtedly” ended up supplying, at least in part, the Russia's military. “I think there's no doubt the investigative journalists got it right”

Our investigation into one of the capital's most notorious housing complexes. Originally billed as luxury flats which would rejuvenate the inner city, its real role was to launder money. It soon became one of Dublin's worst slums and a base for organised crime www.irishtimes.com/ireland/hous...

This is likely the British warship guarding the EU meeting in Wicklow. It's 33km off Lusk according to satellite. Corresponds to where the Merlin helicopter was operating from. The length suggests its a Type 23 frigate of the type in the 3rd pic. Credit to @puca.bsky.social who spotted first

Events elsewhere suggest those numbers may soon increase even more. Rusal, (Aughinish's owner) is planning to mothball four unprofitable alumina smelters in Russia. That will make Rusal even more dependent on alumina produced outside Russia, including that produced in Co Limerick.

A remarkable lady has gotten in touch offering to pay for Paula's beautician training. People are good 🥲

Next week, at Ireland's request, a Royal Navy warship will provide air defence during a meeting of EU ministers in Wicklow. But, to comply with the Irish Constitution, the ship must remain outside Irish territorial waters www.irishtimes.com/ireland/2026...

Odd behaviour off the south coast. Not unusual for US aircraft to train in airspace near Ireland (and outside of territorial waters). But it is strange to see B2 Lancer bombers doing it so far from home.
