I just left a state rep canvass here in western PA, a Trump +6, where the Dems have already achieved *130%* of their 2024 VBM. Not as of this date in 2024—130% of the number through Election Day. And we have 2 weeks to go! Just a shocking fact showing how high the enthusiasm is here.

It would have been immoral and illegal to murder people at sea anyway, but here’s confirmation it also just doesn’t work: “Record supplies of cocaine still arrive in the U.S.… every day, cheaper and purer than they’ve been in decades, said law-enforcement officials.”

Every time you take the oath it’s a reminder the Constitution is not self-executing. We are called on to defend it against those who would erase our rights and destroy our ability to govern ourselves. Happy Constitution Day.

We’re down one senator, up 693 cases of measles. Children dying of a preventable disease and no one speaking for them in “the world’s greatest legislative body.”

Former Rep. Conor Lamb, who’s also been floated as a possible Fetterman challenger, said the video “reminded me of a North Korean newscast, with Fetterman praising the great leader for his efforts in the industrial heartland while everyone else in the country understands they’re getting screwed.”

So the guy who accuses us, @mehdirhasan.bsky.social, @zeteo.com of being "anti-American" pretended to be sick to avoid meeting with paralyzed veterans, and dodged a PA lawmaker who came down to DC to talk with him about working and homeless people all to… focus on Israel, a foreign country, instead.

Prem Thakker ツ@premthakker.bsky.social

My gosh. Fetterman pretended to be sick to avoid meeting three paralyzed veterans from rural PA…and then went to do a Fox interview on Israel. He agreed to meet a lawmaker who drove from PA to talk about homeless and working people…and then bailed & met pro-Israel Bruce Pearl.

Fetterman and McCormick both support Trump’s “let data reign” on data centers yet in actual Pennsylvania, parents are fighting a data center that would increase noise across from a school by 8x, penetrating its walls with sound. No help from either senator. www.thecentersquare.com/pennsylvania...

Lifelong Republican explains to Conor Lamb why he's voting Democrat 👇 "I've always been a Republican, but I just realized I can't do it anymore. I have to be honest. I am a believing Christian. I believe in the rule of law and values - and I don't see that in the Republicans."

The settlement with Meta seems to leave the algorithms untouched. Won’t this end up looking like when heroin was offered as a replacement for morphine as a 19th century cough suppressant? The same dangerous product stays on the market.

Meta’s settlement is roughly equivalent to someone making $100k being fined $600 a year for ten years. Not even close to the scale of the harm Meta has caused.

Not going well in coal country. “These guys are being treated like disposable widgets, not human beings. … We’re watching them die right before our eyes.”

First clip I’ve seen where it’s clear HE is the one imposing an Israel position on US. I never agreed to support any country unconditionally regardless of their crimes and whether they hold up their end of the relationship, yet that is what Fetterman tries to require of Democrats on Israel.

This is an enormous story not getting enough attention. As of this morning the Pentagon website claims 14 troops have died when in fact it was 18. Disgusting.

Remember Fetterman and a few senators could have required, as a condition for ICE funding, a stricter policy against shooting people. They could’ve required special counsel to investigate Renee Good’s murder. Instead they showered ICE with cash, and now they act like all this is unexpected.

He rubs our face in his betrayal every day it seems. But sorry John Republican money is not going to save you, and your buddies at Fox are going to forget your name as soon as Pennsylvania fires you.

Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) and Senator Dave McCormick (R-PA) launch a new joint fundraising committee for their re-election campaigns. Something something "new meaning to bipartisanship" something.

Fantastic footnote in Minnesota judge’s landmark decision rejecting grand jury subpoenas when he notes Blanche accused Governor Walz of terrorism based on a report that agents FABRICATED about being attacked. Guessing Blanche has not apologized.

Years of painstaking work will be required to prosecute the corruption happening in this administration.

SCOOP from @by-cjewett.bsky.social & me: Markwayne Mullin urged the Department of Health and Human Service to remove warnings from the FDA website about the health risks of the gas station drug kratom. Mullin owns equity in a leading kratom company called Botanic Tonics that could have benefited.

Fetterman’s first public comments are about what’s good for Netanyahu, nothing on the serious economic pain Pennsylvanians have been through, which is totally unresolved by this “deal.”

This is one of the House races that will have an outsized impact on the pursuit of justice and accountability in the next two years. Was great to see Democrats focused, united, and packing a room so early in the summer.

This is very much an under-appreciated story that Republicans hope no one notices. We finally won a state constitutional right for abortion coverage and they’re immediately trying to take it away.

Abraham Gutman@abgutman.bsky.social

BREAKING: A clash over abortion access as a right is heading to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. AG Dave Sunday (R) appealed today a court ruling that said PA's constitution guarantees a right to "reproductive autonomy." The lower court also struck down the ban on public funding for abortion.

I posted this on TikTok today in response to the Jan 6 slush fund and it was almost immediately taken down. Almost like the platform is trying to help Trump…

This is one of those where I can’t understand how it isn’t the biggest story in America.

We’re at the point with data centers that yesterday a Pennsylvania virtual town hall got 700 people with minimal advertising and a *Republican* legislator walked the crowd through the need for a moratorium.

It’s pretty cool we have people in “red” areas who set things aside in their lives to run write-in campaigns to make sure Republicans don’t go unopposed. Here is one, my new friend Sue Mulvey, who is doing this in Crawford County. I’ve seen it other places too. They refuse to be counted out.

He is the loudest voice for the worst decision in a generation (Iran). His options are a pile of cash or the brutal honesty and accountability of a long hard primary. Gee, I wonder which he chooses.
