Absolutely PHENOMENAL video by @iamadot64.bsky.social talking about just how well designed these beautiful games were. I still miss HE so much and I am so gutted this has become a lost artform at this point.

New vid! Designing games is tough. Making children's media is tough. Humongous Entertainment designed games specifically for children and made it look easy. How did they do it? How do these Junior Adventures actually work? Let's go on some adventures and see what we can find! youtu.be/OwCne117EKQ

It's weird looking back now at my time working on Destiny, both the ups and downs and thinking about how something so large and so important is just a blip in my career. The fact when it was good it was SO good, I've been chasing that high in game dev for almost 5 years now. Destiny was special.

The fact that I still think about the times in summer of 2019 rocking out Garden of Salvation with the raid team in the testing lab. It's mind-blowing to think that's the last real time I even got to work in an office. Shadowkeep was like the 3 months of what I expected my entire career to be.

I have a very complicated relationship with the game, and how things ended for me. I think I may just have to log on for the final update in June for the first time since May of 2022. Destiny 2 is always going to be important to me, and I'm proud of what I did during my time on it.

I wish this campaign's plot was a *little* more fleshed out because the premise and what is happening is really cool and interesting, but theres not enough time for any of it to really establish or for any attachment to be given to the characters. It's solidly fun for a few hours though!

I can't believe I found a natural odds shiny Eevee of all Pokémon in PLZA. Absolutely insane, and now it has to be on my team. X&Y being my first natural odds Shiny team member and ZA being my next is just fitting.

I'm SO glad Yotei doubled down on the slow and deliberate mechanics and gameplay from Tsushima. The pacing control the game has of demanding your patience and respect is just so so so so so damn good. Absolutely love they didn't walk it back in anyway!

The fact they barely sent out like ANY of the shiny codes today to gamestops is baffling with how nuts poke-mania is right now I vividly remember in like 2012-16 them having so many codes they'd literally give you a fist full of them. I just don't get how every single layup right now is a whiff.

These codes selling for like $20 second market is SO DUMB I should instead be able to walk into a Gamestop next week and get one easily I really do not understand the logic on this one at all

There are 2 types of conventions 1. Party 2. Networking/Business/Consumer (all are the same) But eventually you go to enough in a year to unlock the third forbidden type of convention 3. Hell

Bandai Card Fest Dallas was sadly one of the worst events I've ever been to in my life. It was incredibly mismanaged, the space was too small, there wasn't enough signs or staff (and I felt bad for the staff that was there) I'm shocked the fire marshal wasn't called at any point due to the crowd

I already know the Savannah Bananas are going to do something with the Lazy River at Riders park this weekend that's gonna go omega turbo viral. It's the perfect opportunity for the blend of creativity + set piece

The disparity in exhibitors for PAX East and PAX West is becoming very bad. West has this PHENOMENAL list every single year without fail and East felt like complete table scraps this year. I enjoy PAX, but I'd love to see some of these names show up at East again for once!

Hands-on demos. Killer booths. Big reveals. ICYMI—the Exhibitor List for #PAXWest 2025 dropped last week! 👀 See them in Seattle: PAXwest25.com/Expo

This game is so damn cool It's definitely old even with the remake treatment, but its so unique, charming and different when it comes to JRPGs I think literally any fan of the genre should experience it once. It's got something for everyone!

If that truly is the final set of Astro Bot DLC levels then I think they ended on a much much much much much higher note than the base game. The final new level was hard, but fair and used some of the best mechanics of the game in a creative gauntlet.

All of the people who don't like the stickers in MK World don't understand the joy and whimsy of collecting stickers in real life I will literally go to Dutch Bros half the time just because they give me a cool sticker with my drink!

The Red Rising Trilogy is just a magnum opus of Sci Fi storytelling. It's just enthralling from the beginning of Red Rising to the end of Morning Star. It made me laugh, made me mad, but most importantly kept me interested from beginning to end. Highly would recommend!

I think the way the internet tries to be spoiler free with games is really counter-intuitive sometimes Saying "Chapter 7!" or "Act 2!" and talking something upis still a spoiler because whoever is reading that can inference something happens via proxy from that We need a better way here for this

And yes my example is just an example, I choose those numbers because they don't tie into literally anything I'm playing right now I appreciate the effort from people to talk about something without spoilers, but there needs to be a better approach
