My wife is on strike tomorrow and has been work to rule for a bit and based what she tells me (note: she has worked in the public sector both sides of the border) the vibes and attitudes are *very* different to the north (laudatory)

Anyway I was reminded of the 2011 pension strike and being told someone complained that the picket had too many people because they counted a cardboard cut-out of David Cameron as a participant

My oldest’s former (and probably youngest’s future) preschool has a fundraising raffle for their refurbished unit.. the prize is a five month old heifer, yeah we’re definitely culchies (bought tickets, hope to god I don’t win)

The boys school nativity had a raffle and of all the prizes the £50 O’Neill’s voucher was the one that got an “ooooh” … yeah we’re definitely culchies (Didnt win. Raging)

With the amount of times they gullibility align themselves with someone to then be inevitably double crossed, political unionism is akin to the wrestler Sting in WCW. In this essay I will…

Donald Trump has doubled down on his Irish unity comments. He said "many people agree" and that he just made what he considered to be a "fairly routine comment".  More on Virgin Media PLAY and #VMNews

Frank Reynolds would qualify then

Planned changes to Irish citizenship requirements will ensure that new citizens have an “understanding” of the country and its values, the Taoiseach has said. jrnl.ie/7154915

It rules how everything about this administration tailor made to be in the 'decline' part of a future history textbook

Saw Spider-Man tonight. No spoiler but there’s a scene where stuff happens and then for a split second you see a car run into a fast food delivery cyclist and knock them over… can only assume that’s a Kier Starmer Easter egg

Watched in the heat of the night (1967) tonight and look at this fella looking like Kieth Gillespie. Plus the police chief’s character was called Gillespie.. coincidence?!?! (Yes)

Something that occurred to me last week with the World Cup trophy that fifa get pissy about who gets to touch it, yet sam maguire will be now touring every club, pub and primary school in mayo, everyone gets a hold .. babies will sit in it etc I dunno what my thought is .. but it’s a thought

For my uncles I just went with plain old padre pio, because pio looked a bit like Jeremy Corbyn and my uncle knew Corbyn for a bit in the 80s and my granda would be all “that’s ur m8” when he was labour leader

It’s warm so the windows are open in bedroom and I freaked out because I thought I heard my child outside crying… turns out it was just two cats having a stand off

Just thinking of after the election when melts would lose their shit when you pointed out labour won because the Tory vote collapsed and not because Keir was so beloved and the party also got less actual votes than Corbyn in the previous GE

I’d love a sequel to Peter Taylor’s book Loyalists about how, post GFA, they transitioned from paramilitarism to different type of paramilitarism and the state, police et al are just ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ about it

Feel for anyone who misses a big penalty in a shootout. Except for John Terry, because that was and always will be hilarious.
