Wind has dropped but itโ€™s raining. Off to the races soon. Ground Force and Kotari both look to have excellent chances but the market reflects it. Edgewater is the outsider of the field which is fair enough only 7 runners so even the EW is limited ๐Ÿ˜ณ ๐Ÿ‡๐Ÿ‡๐Ÿป

Leicester spoons for a few ciders before the races tomorrow. Not expecting much given his last run. ๐Ÿ‡๐Ÿฟ Itโ€™s a day at the races with complimentary food so no complaints. ๐Ÿ‘ Slow journey down from home, heavy traffic for a Sunday. ๐Ÿš˜๐ŸŒ

Hells teeth. One of Leicester/Nottingham/Bath could be on the agenda but the rain might scupper at least one. Standing water on course at Leicester. Never been to Bath itโ€™s a canny travel for us. Let see whatโ€™s decided then on to Booking.com ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‡๐Ÿ‡

4.35 Ascot type of handicap I like to have an EW punt 5 places. Excellent Believe 12/1 and Whip Cracker 28/1 are the picks. Zavateri 17/2 also one Iโ€™m interested in EW earlier on the card. Good luck ๐Ÿคž ๐Ÿ‡๐Ÿ‡

๐Ÿค” Looked decent EW options ended up short today. On the syndicate horse front we need rain. Lots of possibilities but all ground dependent. We had 4 wins last year, none thus far. Iโ€™d hope weโ€™ll get something in the coming months. ๐ŸŒง๏ธ๐ŸŒง๏ธ๐Ÿคž

Continuing the โ€˜get a good price and see it underperformโ€™ scenario. 10/1 for Sea Lantern now at 5/1. 3.40 Newmarket. I assume at some point Iโ€™ll actually beat the odds. ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿค” Be nice to see Brian Ellison get another big winner. Unexposed at the distance hopefully lots of improvement to be had. ๐Ÿ‡๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿคž

Disappointing run from the syndicate horse yesterday. Funnily enough the betting market seemed to know as she drifted before the off. Not sure how this works as we were hoping for a decent run. Hopefully sheโ€™s ok. ๐Ÿ‘

Going stick 7, official going at Ayr โ€˜Heavy soft in placesโ€™ Iโ€™m confused. Not sure why anyone bothers with the stick. ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ‡

Donโ€™t often comment on jockyship given the fact Iโ€™ve never sat on a horse but Taryn Langley didnโ€™t exactly work hard on Makes Me Wonder in the 8.30 should have finished closer tonight. In the Tracker for the future. ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ‡

Ayr tomorrow should have been the case. Girlfriend is in Spain and I canโ€™t be arsed to get the train. Iโ€™ll watch in the club instead. ๐Ÿ‡

Arc day. Thundering On and Bay City Roller ante post but the rain hasnโ€™t come. Miss Yerchance in the 1.47 and Sindagan 2.30 at the Curragh are my EW punts. Good luck if you are having a punt.

#Burnham Excellent. Double Lock will do me if my future care is sorted. Social care reform, electoral reform, more public control of utilities, VAT off fuel bills, continuing work on immigration, closer links with the EU. Overall as we say in these parts โ€˜a belterโ€™ of a speech. #Labour

Another good price ante post took 14/1 now half the price. Then again I tend to get good prices for horses that underperform on the day. ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ‡ Hopefully get a place at least today.

Saw this on the I Love Durham Facebook page. Weather looks decent so weโ€™re heading in for the afternoon. #Durham has lots of cafes and bars plus of course the best cathedral in the country.

Girlfriends birthday today. Low key,off to Durham on Friday. Seven years ago was a bit more adventurous, we were here. #Melbourne Really doesnโ€™t seem that long ago time whizzes past.

In the Western House on the racecourse for a few beers. Day didnโ€™t go to plan, syndicate horse ran a bit flat but jockey says heโ€™ll do better when it gets really soft or heavy. Overall though itโ€™s been a good day the food in the O+T is really good as is the complimentary wine. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‡๐Ÿฟ

50/1 might be a bit generous but itโ€™s a tough race with plenty horses in good form. Hopefully heโ€™ll run ok and weโ€™ll move on to races later this year. On the upside we get to go to the O+T where the food is spot on. #Ayr

Ayr Wednesday for two nights, racing on Thursday (hopefully)then south to Moffat for the Friday night. Retirement lump sum is taking a hit. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ‡๐Ÿบ Thatโ€™s what itโ€™s there for. Worked from age 16 to 66 doubt Iโ€™ll get a 50 year retirement. ๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿฆณ โ™ฟ๏ธ

Looks like Ayr next week. Hotel prices are nuts. ยฃ340 for two nights at Premier Inn. I suppose itโ€™s a busy week so the prices go up but thatโ€™s a bit steep ! ๐Ÿ‡๐Ÿ˜ณ

#Durham return to Division one of the County Championship TBH it always looked likely. Would be great to see us win the league next year, donโ€™t see why we couldnโ€™t give it a real go. Back where we should be after the #ECB kicked us in the nuts a few years ago. ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ˜ก

2003/4 ? met a couple of California lads in the Dun Cow in Durham. They said 9-11 was the first time theyโ€™d felt vulnerable. Bit like the blitz I said, they did their worst we did our best so will you. They were both visibly emotional, wish Iโ€™d had the gumption to get their details.

25 yrs since 9-11. Watched it all live on tv. I was counting copper coins and bagging them to cash in, (divorce about to start and I was skint.) Just couldnโ€™t believe what I was watching. World wasnโ€™t the same after that. We were all Americans that day. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

Redcar was good yesterday. Same MO for our syndicate horse ground too quick and a wide draw. Did back a winner so not all losses. Food was decent in O+T and overall there enough bars viewing points etc. Only downside is the travel through Teeside the armpit of NE England. ๐Ÿ˜ณ

Off to Redcar today weather looks good, wanted rain but not to be again. Anyway Iโ€™ve backed these, some at tasty EW prices. Deputy Vice , Son of Dolly, Talitha Rouge, Idyllic ( heart rather than head given the ground) Long Shot and Sunny Orange Good luck if having a bet. ๐Ÿ‡๐Ÿ‡๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

We were at Hamilton on Wednesday. Food in O+T was nice. Scottish cheeseboard spot on. Syndicate horse number two ran ok but got tired after his long rest. ๐Ÿ‡

Wasnโ€™t to be yesterday the ground went too dry jockey said it rode G/F which isnโ€™t good for her. Sheโ€™s home and ok so we go again when we get some G/S or soft. ๐ŸŒง๏ธ๐Ÿ‡๐Ÿ‘

Despite the disappointment of the Ebor I managed to back 2 winners and a decent EW so a nice profit. Plus New Zealand beat the boks at rugby which is excellent. Currently drinking spiced rum and ginger listening to Western Stars Some Saturdays are ok. ๐Ÿ‘

Jim Delahunt is a good judge of a horse. Met him at Ayr recently lovely bloke. Altareq (6.15 Hamilton 20/1 beat our horse at Ayr so would be nice to have form franked.) is a fancy of his tonight. Canโ€™t see it myself horse looks out of form and up in grade, but Iโ€™m having an EW punt. ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿ‡๐Ÿ‡

Last race get out today but a winner and a third is enough for a profit. One caught my eye tomorrow 5.20 Caim currently 14/1 from 20โ€™s will appreciate any rain ( itโ€™s forecast) well drawn and should be up with the pace. Thatโ€™s the logic letโ€™s see if itโ€™s correct. ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‡

Caim 10/1 now hopefully runs a decent race. One against the fav in the 2.35 Vollering now 20/1 well drawn, likes to race up front, will appreciate the rain, ran a decent race LTO Might hang on for a place. Good luck. ๐Ÿคž

20/1 into 4/1 Caim 9th ๐Ÿ˜ŠNever mind always tomorrow, the softer ground has made things even more interesting. Pleased Oisin Murphy is in the winners #York ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‡

Day one of the Ebor festival starts tomorrow. 4 Iโ€™ve backed Toca Madera EW 15/2 1.50 Kirchner win at 9/2 ( if there is a drift to 5/1 Iโ€™ll be on EW) 4.10 Black Star Boy EW 22/1 4.45 Henley on Thames EW 10/1 at 5.20 Looking forward to the next few days ๐Ÿ‡๐Ÿ‘ Good luck.
