👋 Hi, I'm Kevin. I love #dotnet and #azure. Microsoft MVP, working out of my #shedquarters in Chesapeake, VA. President of RevolutionVA. Random fact: I'm a roller coaster nut. Wanna nerd out about business systems or airtime hills? I'm your guy. consultwithgriff.com

Ideas I wish I'd had first: BSides Hampton Roads gave its speakers challenge coins. It's small, and it's the kind of thing you keep on your desk for years. Organizers, take note. #757tech

The .NET team just put out a preview of dotnetup, a toolchain manager for .NET in the same spirit as rustup or nvm. Small thing, but setting up a new machine just got a lot less annoying. #dotnet #csharp

So excited for our Hacktoberfest hack day in Hampton, VA this morning! Big thanks to RevolutionVA for hosting, The AI Collective Hampton Roads for sponsoring, 757 Makerspace for the space, and MLH, DEV and DigitalOcean for making Hacktoberfest happen. See you there with my co-host @tekgadgt.dev !

Heading home from #TechBash. Thanks to the organizers, volunteers, and everyone who came to my sessions. Great conversations all week. See you next year.

Someone at The Cloud and AI Summit made a point of coming up to me after my talk yesterday to say, "It was fantastically entertaining." Mr. Attendee, sir. I'd like you to know that I'll ride that high for at least the next week. Thank you.

I’ve been working on a new slide deck assisted by Claude and Codex. It’s been fun to iterate and review. Agents are ensuring I’m sticking to abstract, and acting as audience members. Not necessarily speeding up the process, but enhancing the output.

I'm constantly looking for ideas on how to better incorporate Hermes into my day-to-day. One of my favorites has been a "connection tracker". It just casually reminds me to "check in on Alan" or "here's what Linda has been up to". It's synced with Bluesky/X/LinkedIn too.
