Finished this little mini-quilt the other day. Some room for improvement, but I really like how it turned out. It’s 16”x18”.

I’m working on a quilt top and I’m already wishing I still had access to the longarm at Open Works to finish it. 🤦🏻‍♀️😆 Sadly, no room to put a longarm here - domestic it is!

I loved living in Charlotte and watching ICE invade is breaking my heart.

I don’t know that I’ve ever trimmed half rectangle triangles before. I’ve done pretty much everything else, but I’ve just never used them before. 🤷‍♀️ Seems good so far. We’ll see how the sewing goes.

Spending the evening trimming half square triangles for a quilt and listening to an audiobook. Repetitive but peaceful.

We relocated to Scotland (planned and moved in about five months 😳) and now I’m back to crafting. Here’s a layout I made with some blocks in class today.

Finished a quilt and also the warp that was on my loom. All washed but still needs a good steam & press. That’s all for the weaving until after we move, but I still have some sewing to do.

Went to our local creative reuse store and came home with these. I’ve been wanting to try these for awhile, so I was excited to find them. And for $8 total! #weaving

On a self imposed sewing/weaving retreat this week (at home). I have a quilt to finish, blocks to make for another quilt, blocks to start for a third quilt, and a warp to finish on my loom. Here’s a block I did yesterday for @libselliott.com 2025 Block of the Month in the Sew Squad. #quiltsky

Starting to learn my new inkle loom. I have until the end of June to be ok enough to use it in public. 😬 I still have a quilt to finish and spinning to practice. And a warp on my loom that needs finishing. It’ll be fine. It’ll all be fine.

Working out an improv curve design with some scrap fabric. The fabrics definitely don’t look good together, but the moneys make me laugh. 🐵

Anyone else place one last order from a Canadian company before the tariffs go into effect? Just me? I’m sad that it’s going to be harder to support my favorite small businesses across the border. 😒

It’s basted! The king size quilt is basted! It took 2.5 hours (including moving some furniture), but it’s done!

Work on the quilt backing continues. It’s about 10 ft long! I love the bright colors - they’re a nice “happy” for today.

Working on the backing (finally) for the Suzy Quilts Planetarium quilt top I made last year. It’s king size and I’ve been putting it off. I think it’ll be a mix of machine quilting (on my domestic, not a longarm 😳) and hand quilting.

just stumbled on a real jaw-dropper of a line in an essay -- “The corollary of being interested in a great range of things is to have sympathy with a great range of outlooks” -- and that, my friends, is why reading is so important.

Working on the concept of a quilt today that includes lots of strips. And ironing. I’m putting the new project iron through its paces. 😂

Weaving on the floor loom today. I’m trying to finish the warp this week! After that I have the next Jane Stafford project waiting - but I may switch up the colors. I’d really like to start working with bright, happy colors. I think we could all use the boost, yes? Also, starting a new quilt soon!

For someone that doesn’t wear a lot of nail polish…I have a lot of nail polish. I like the pretty colors and swatching. 😬😆

Finished happy pink handwoven towels with hand sewn hems! Happy to have these done and off the loom. I have a warp on my floor loom to finish (one of the Jand Stafford projects). This afternoon I’m moving to quilting - I have an idea but I need to work out the “how to”.

The plan was to have these towels done two days ago, but that didn’t happen. Finishing them up today though - only one more hem to go! Also, the llama needle minder is one of my favorites. ❤️ If you stitch, do you have a needle minder that you find exceptionally cute or fun?

Rotary cutting my handwoven fabric is so much more scary than cutting quilting cotton for quilts! Hand sewing the hems tomorrow, I think.

Weaving some towels on my rigid heddle loom before a couple of quilty meetings this evening. I like the floor loom better, but I had these on this loom before I bought my floor loom. Hopefully they’re done this week. 🤞

Spending time at my loom this morning. I’m working through the Jane Stafford online weaving lessons. I’m looking forward to working more complicated patterns. 😆

Made a little improv block from some scrap fabric at Open Works’ Quilt Night this week. Eventually it will end up in a community quilt!

Cleaned up my workspace and I’m now working on a quilt…that I can’t show (because Christmas).

It’s going to be an expensive Kickstarter month. Between Diatoms, Under Grove and Critter Kitchen, we’ll have backed three projects in about two weeks!
