Maybe not the most exciting thing to folks outside of Portland, but the detailing on all the sets, esp the interiors of homes, that made them truly feel like places I have been in the city was such a subtle and important touch. I'm already seeing it a second time, once was absolutely not enough!!

Ironically, being a costume maker for a local theme park. I worked landscaping, moved to costumes when they found out I made fursuits. I was there maybe 2 weeks, crushed a season's worth of work, and then quit in a panic when I put fake blood on the wrong thing and the boss got upset.

My landscaping boss took me back, and was also the nicest guy imaginable. I ran into him years later and told him I was full time self employed, and he gave me a big hug and was really proud!! ;; I was just the world's most anxious teen and could NOT handle the pressure haha.

Oh neat! My friend teaching at VCU informed me that one of my images is on view in the campus student gallery! The piece is in a show of a huge private collection that will be donated to an institution someday. Go check it out if youre in Richmond! Some other great names in that show.

Or the suit goes in a closet forever, or gets resold to a rando on dealers den and you never see it again but u know,,,, sometimes they stick around! Sometimes u stumble upon them at a local con and they give u a big hug. Very cool!

Fursuit making is cool because like 80% of the time the guy u make takes on a personality and lives a life (for lack of a better way of putting that) and u get to enjoy it for like. Longer than you have it in your hands. Not to sound weird but it’s cool to make art that has a life after creation
