Accidentally left my sticker stash out when my kid was having his friends over for a graduation party, so apparently a pile of 18 year olds sat around discussing medication abortion in our living room 🥰🤩

Someone please introduce me to the man who pondered the best possible design for a blood pressure pill taken by elderly folks with shaky fingers and decided “tiny, narrow, and beige” was the way to go. I just want to talk.

Put phone down to make tea. Made tea. Picked up tea. Remembered I’d put phone down … somewhere? Put tea down to find phone. Eventually find phone. Remember I put tea down … somewhere? Is this hell this is hell isn’t it

The best revenge is training abortion doulas so that’s what I’m going to do this weekend. Teaching everyone how to support and care for folks having abortions just as hard i can

I have some bad news for the vast majority of folks who take gabapentin

The DOJ is suggesting that gender-affirming care providers may be engaging in "conspiracy" because they're prescribing medications off-label. That poses danger for an important backstop in the event old restrictions on the abortion pill mifepristone are restored:

87% of NPs are primary health care providers. “Yet an obscure committee now promises to strip them of access to educational funds, putting the healthcare system, the nursing workforce, and patients at risk,” writes Cory Ellen Gatrall in this week’s ER essay. nursingclio.org/2026/02/23/p...

We're all trying to be careful with our language, so as not to offend, or not to lose federal funding for talking about paragraph transitions. To help you out, here's a worksheet to guide you in swapping out troublesome phrases for real, historical eel expressions. 🗃️🧪

I took a mixed levels modern dance class taught by my bff tonight. Failed to remember choreography, pulled several glutes, and had to take a break when I got dizzy. 10/10 would recommend.

Got two articles through the proofing process this weekend, my book is officially under review, and I submitted an NIH grant proposal. Two speaking engagements this week, more coming up soon. Now all I need is a job for next year!

Trying to remember that I’m frustrated because I’m ambitious. I could settle for less, or take on easier challenges. But I don’t. And that’s the person I want to be.

Alex from our time working together, while he was in nursing school. Later, he moved to ICU, working as a nurse to support critically ill Veterans. He had such a great attitude. We’d chat between patients about trying to get in a mountain bike ride together. Will never happen now

The Times passed on my op ed about the federal redefinition of “professional” to exclude nursing being a pronatalist Project 2025 tactic for … this?

I cheerfully chirped “influenza is at a 25 year high! ERs are overwhelmed!” at my 91 year old mom’s unmasked geriatrician yesterday. To her credit, she sighed and masked up.

Love to be asked at my doctor appointment several times if I have an upper respiratory illness because I was wearing an N95 mask. No, I don’t, and I want to keep it that way!
