cowsites

last chance to give me a shout if you've decorated your cowsite for halloween or autumn (literally any fun decoration counts!) to get a shoutout in the newsletter =] #cowsites

also while i'm here, thank you for bearing with us when we might be a little slow to reply to messages/emails - we're a team of 3 rn and i'm the only person on socials LOL, so if i've taken ages to reply to a message somewhere, pls just ping me another because i probably just haven't seen it!! <3

we are still working our way through our suggestions list!! thank you so much to everyone who's supporting us - it's your suggestions that are helping cowsites to be the best it can be ='] <3 #cowsites

do you have one cowsite or several? 👀

happy sunday! what are your favourite weekend relaxation/slowdown activities? do you share them on your cowsite? <3 #hobbies

what do you use #cowsites for? are there any features you think are msising or you'd like to see? <3

i've not done cowsite of the week for a WHILE (and haven't done it on mastodon/bluesky like.. ever) so here's the big huzzah to try and get it back lol. can you tell i have been distracted. if you wanna have your site featured, gimme a shout via dm or drop your url in the comments!!! <3

how would we feel about a little bit of lookin' into slowing down and consuming content online actively/thoughtfully? i feel like many of us are caught up in the doomscrolling/rotting loop online but idk if other people like that kind of content or just me lol #cowsites #doomscrolling

cowsite of the week time! this is an AWESOME puppet maker with awesome pet rats vivavulture.cowsite.net

yo, about 270 people have updated their cowsite this month. THAT'S CRAZY. if you haven't edited anything on your site recently, fancy logging in and helping us make it to 300? we don't get anything from it, i just think it's COOL #cowsites

psst... try logging into #cowsites. we have a message board now for any important info you might miss over our socials!

mods are asleep. post horsesites.

not cowsites related, but who's got halloween plans? halloween seems to be getting less exciting every year (probably because the shops get halloween stuff in in like july now???) or maybe i'm just really boring! but i would love to hear how y'all are celebrating this year! #halloween

(psst. it's cowsites' social media admin's birthday today. don't tell anyone i told u <3)

is anyone decorating their website for autumn/halloween??!? lemme know if so!! i miss when folks used to make their sites spooky, or make purpose-built spooky or autumnal websites for the season! #oldweb #websitedesign

next newsletter edition is about webrings!! cannot wait ot get this one to you - we have an awesome interview with someone REALLY COOL (yes, we're finally bringing the interviews back). don't miss it!! #webring #webrings #newsletter #oldweb

does anyone here make custom old-web style stamps for their site, or plans to? i love love love seeing what people make so pls lemme know if you have!! =] #cowsites

i used 88x31.datakra.sh to make the cowsites stamps - i HIGHLY recommend using it. this isn't sponsored or anything, it was just super easy to use and had so many great tools to make them look as cool as possible ='] #coolsites

you asked for it, we delivered! free cowsites stamps for your website available at rowan.cowsite.net =] <3 #cowsites #oldweb #blinkies

what do you use cowsites for?? what type of website do you have?? :D #cowsites #oldweb

what are some of your favourite obscure games you don't see people talk about? i think my favourite is wonderland adventures (midnight synergy). there's a crazy community that's still super involved but other than that it feels so niche #videogames #nichegames #oldgames

OUR INSTAGRAM IS BACK. WE ARE SO BACK. HIT US UP @cowsites www.instagram.com/cowsites/ #cowsites #win

our #instagram is still struggling post shutdown lol - just in case you didn't see, we're over at @2cow2sites =]<3 #cowsites

reminder that our new insta is @2cow2sites btw hehe

how would y'all feel about a little in-built newsfeed? we're pinging the idea back and forth a bit, in response to our instagram being yoinked. it would just have little bug fixes/important news, built into cowsites =] #cowsites

also side note - we genuinely appreciate the cowsites community SO much, y'all are beautiful. y'all are the best. your unending support and love for this silly little platform is genuinely heartwarming and we appreciate every single one of you <3 #cowsites

suggestions list has been successfully gone through! we've narrowed down what we can work on within the team, and we're hoping to get back to everyone who contacted us asap to let y'all know if we're working on it or if your suggestion isn't something within our scope atm <3 #cowsites

if y'all ever made webrings within cowsites (linking to each others pages within a theme, or just with your pals) we would actually go feral btw #cowsites

kinda chic to reject gen ai btw

we are actively going through suggestions you've given us! if you have anything while we're at it, please feel free to throw 'em our way =D #cowsites

this is your reminder to add your site to the cowshed @ cowsites.net/cowshed. this means that other folks on cowsites can view your site from the main hub, and we also do a little daily rotation on your logged in homepage. how cute <3 #cowsites #oldweb #smallweb #y2k

Webrings are having a comeback! I've been meaning to join some more. Here are a few links. indieweb.org/webring xn--sr8hvo.ws petrapixel.neocities.org/indiewebdb/w... discourse.32bit.cafe/t/resources-...

hi! i'm writing this month's newsletter on webrings. if anyone knows any cool ones, has any questions or happens to be well versed or interested in webrings and wants to contribute a little about why you like 'em, please please please reach out! i'd LOVE to have you =] #cowsites #newsletter #webring

but thank you everyone for sticking by us while our insta was down. if you sent us a message on there and we haven't replied, we lost access to that and our follow list, so we're completely in the dark. pop us another message and i'll see to it!! <3 #cowsites

also i'm still raging that we couldn't get cowsites.net as a name on insta. how mean of them #cowsites

hello friends! we couldn't get our instagram account back BUT we have a new account: check it out if you want a #1 cowsites fan badge*: instagram.com/2cow2sites *disclaimer this badge only exists in the confines of your brain #cowsites #y2k #oldweb #internethistory

hello! our insta has been taken down for reasons we don't know. insta says it was a hack protection, but we can't get back into the account. we're trying!! if you have any questions please direct them to our emails else i probably won't see them ='] terrible weekend for cowsites social media lol

i LOVE finding sites that are stuck in the web 1.0 look but still up and functional today. try going to the english translation of the page - it's a completely different old web aesthetic! www.hiking.com.hk

wanna get into indie web blogs? try starting here - it will take you to a totally random blog on the small web =] indieblog.page
