If you insist on using AI, hide the evidence of it in shame like the stupid, wretched creature that you are, steeped in the sin of sloth. Hide away from the light of the world, and fear to speak of AI positively in my presence. You are not among friends. Only the law of the land keeps you safe.

I don’t know how people could say that programming and art are completely different disciplines when both workflows involve going ‘This will never work, I’m a failure’, changing one thing, then thinking you might be the smartest person alive

Modern cyberpunk lore regarding the Sandevistan grinds my gears man. It's a reflex booster, so it only slows your perception of time, it doesn't actually make you faster/stop time. You're still limited by your body.

My end point, I suppose: I dislike tourists and some popular interpretation(s) of cyberpunk tech/lore, and short of replacing one's entire body with hidden knives or some shit, cyberpsychosis is a skill issue, doubly so if all you installed was a toggleable reflex booster.

Even if I'm wrong and it is a personal time manipulator (which it could be if you had cyberlimbs to act with) that's still not "drive you insane" material in of itself. If that does drive you insane, again, probably not the Sandy's fault, it's the decision to become a hyper mobile chicken nugget

I can see people being conditioned to activate Sandy at the first sign of trouble and kill anyone who looks funny, but I still don't count that as cyberpsychosis because the implants aren't causing it, they're just facilitating it. It's not car psychosis when someone drives down the sidewalk.

You can get the same results from someone with no cybernetics, they just won't be as successful in their endeavors. "It's cyberpsychosis because cybernetics were used" So a guy with cybernetics robbing a convenience store is a cyberpsycho case?

Like, of the things a Sandy can accelerate, turning it off is about the only guaranteed boosted action one could take. So if you're leaving it on despite going nuts from the pain, that's not cyberpsychosis, that's just regular psychosis and/or user error.

If you put your hand on a hot stove and get burnt, you won't go insane from that. And if you don't take it off, it's a moot point because you're already insane, we don't say the stove made you insane in either circumstance.

Further, I can see it doing damage to a 'ganic body - burning out nerves, muscle tears from trying to slam them from reverse to drive and back again - but near zero chance of causing cyberpsychosis. Who goes insane because you turned on the slow-mo implant?

Now, if it was the one you can't turn off, the Keriznikov, sure, that'll make a man insane. But even if you managed to, say, catch the nastiest war crime of a bullet while a max power Sandy was turned on, dragging each nanosecond of pain out, you can just... turn it off?

Last I'll post about this, but Elon Musk disagrees with me. This means I am onto something, and I feel more valid in my opinion than ever.

Yooooo someone is going to make bank after the crash by starting up a "pay us not to release all the weird shit you said to the LLM" company.

The bankruptcy of Character AI is another reminder that your data is only thinly protected by whatever a company promised in their vaguely-worded privacy notice you didn't read. www.kqed.org/news/1210436...

Seitokai ni mo Ana wa Aru! The premise/setup is horrendously mid (school adventures with student councilmembers) and I wasn't sure about the 4koma format But the execution and writing? Chef's kiss.
