Three weeks ago I mapped how public contracts built a launch monopoly, a satellite monopoly captured broadband funding, and the IPO would convert it all into private equity and lock democratic correction out. Friday it happened. The first trillionaire is a government product.

Every July 4th she traces how we got here. Not to despair but because you can’t defend what you don’t understand. Two hundred and fifty years in, with the republic this contested, her letter tonight carries more weight than any fireworks.

Johnson told donors at Faith & Freedom: if Democrats win midterms “half of you in this room will be targeted.” “I run the protection program. I’ll take care of you.” The House speaker just told his donors that protecting them from congressional oversight is why they must win. He said it out loud.

Order No. 3 declared freedom in 1865. The Black Codes began within weeks. The 14th Amendment passed in 1868. Jim Crow followed within years. Juneteenth became a federal holiday in 2021. Louisiana v. Callais gutted voting rights in 2026. The pattern is not a mystery. It is the mechanism.

“I hope we shall crush in its birth the aristocracy of our monied corporations which dare already to challenge our government to a trial of strength, and bid defiance to the laws of our country.” —Thomas Jefferson

Pardon the insurrectionists. Purge the prosecutors. Delete the records. Create a $1.776 billion fund to pay the participants. The judiciary just blocked step four. One branch still works.

Thirty-five former federal judges just called the $1.776 billion slush fund a fraud on the court. The lawsuit that justified it was never adversarial — Trump was both plaintiff and controller of the defendant. The legal fig leaf was the point. The money was always the goal.

Peter Thiel just relocated his family to Argentina. Enrolled his kids in school there. Bought a mansion in Buenos Aires. The NYT calls it a Plan B. It's not a Plan B. It's the thesis made operational. 🧵

The man who built the infrastructure of American state power is now engineering his distance from American state power. That tells you something about what he thinks is coming. And something about what he thinks he built.

Palantir in federal surveillance. Anduril with $20B+ in weapons contracts. Erebor fast-tracking a federal bank charter. Not a portfolio. A diagonal monopoly — running across the architecture of the state itself.

Why Argentina? Milei is dismantling the state faster than anyone in the Western hemisphere. Privatizing intelligence. Opening contracts Thiel’s platforms were built to fill. He’s not fleeing. He’s prospecting.

In 2009, Thiel wrote that democracy had become incompatible with freedom. He named three exits: outer space, the open ocean, cyberspace. He seeded all three with capital. He left the fourth exit off the list. The fourth exit is the state itself.

The company that built ICE's deportation targeting system just got paid $3.9 million to surveil federal workers at the USDA. The VA wants the same system across 311 locations. The SSA is next. Same tools. New target. ↓

OMB Director Vought said he wants federal workers "traumatically affected." Palantir is building the tool that delivers it. Alex Karp is billing the government $3.9 million for the privilege. The stock trades at 150 times earnings. Wall Street doesn't price ideology. It prices inevitability.

Same investor network funds every side. Founders Fund, 8VC, a16z. Palantir builds the surveillance. Anduril builds the targeting. GEO holds the detainees. Erebor banks the companies. Ramp is pursuing the $39.7 billion federal purchasing card. One portfolio. Every node.

Q1 2026: $1.63 billion in revenue. Up 85%. $687 million from the U.S. government alone. Fastest growth since the company went public. Karp wrote a book calling it a moral obligation. Then posted a manifesto on X. 32 million views. The moral argument was the brochure. The contracts were the close.

Palantir's federal contracts doubled in one year. $541 million to $970.5 million. A $10 billion Army deal. A $1.3 billion AI targeting ceiling. A tool called ImmigrationOS that tracks people using passport data, SSA records, & facial recognition. These are not line items. This is an installation.

Palantir's ELITE system maps deportable populations by neighborhood using HHS, Medicaid, and USCIS data. ICE acts on the targeting. GEO Group collects $150 to $245 per person per day. GEO's CEO told investors they're holding the "highest level of ICE population we've ever had."

The triumphal arch at Arlington. The UFC arena at the White House. The Rose Garden paved over. The East Wing gutted. The Reflecting Pool at seven times cost. This isn’t renovation. It’s rebranding. The republic’s spaces are being converted into Trump properties one by one.

Johnson blocked Congress from voting. Collins holds the vote and won’t call it. Two different mechanisms; one imposed from outside, one chosen from within. Same result: the authority stays on paper. Abdication is harder to fight than capture. You can’t vote out someone who surrendered voluntarily.

A sanctioned PR firm running false-flag operations under presidential admin “direction and control.” Russia outsources destabilization the same way states outsource everything: through private contractors with plausible deniability. The structure is corporate. The product is social fracture.

"In September 2025, nine mosques and cultural centers in and around Paris were targeted...Bloody severed pig heads, each marked with the word “Macron” in blue ink, were left outside their front doors." This was a Russian stunt. From @occrp.org Read more: www.occrp.org/en/investiga...

The 60-day war powers clock ran out May 1. Congress had the authority to force withdrawal. Johnson sent them home early to stop the vote. That’s not dysfunction. That’s the institution disarming itself from the inside.

They didn't call it a ban. They didn't need to. Yesterday USCIS announced green card applicants must now leave the US and apply from abroad, except in "extraordinary circumstances." No vote. No legislation. Just a memo. ↓

Not a ban. Not a deportation. Not a raid. Just a door, quietly closed, that used to be open. And every official whose name belongs on it hoping you won't notice until it's too late to knock.

This memo doesn't exist in isolation. Palantir's ELITE lets ICE generate target packages by neighborhood. A judge found the IRS broke the law 42,695 times sharing taxpayer addresses with ICE. DOGE signed a voter data deal at SSA four days after a judge ordered them out.

This dropped the same Friday that 40,000 Californians were evacuated over a chemical tank, a shipyard explosion killed one person in NYC, and the administration expanded Medicaid cuts. The most consequential policies arrive when the most people are looking somewhere else.

Hundreds of thousands of people with legal status. People with jobs, mortgages, kids in American schools. The memo was signed by USCIS Director Joseph Edlow. Project 2025 contributor. Heritage Foundation visiting fellow. Confirmed last July.

Return to Afghanistan to apply? The US Embassy closed in August 2021. World Relief: will "effectively create an indefinite separation of families." USCIS: "the original intent of the law." The distance between those two is the whole story.

Monday: Colbert calls Paramount’s $16M payment to Trump a “big fat bribe.” Thursday: CBS cancels his show. One week later: Trump’s FCC approves the Skydance merger. Now Paramount-Skydance is pursuing another megamerger with Warner Bros. Discovery.

This is how media capture works. Not through censorship decrees — through merger leverage. You don’t ban the critic. You make the corporation’s next deal contingent on silencing him. The machinery is regulatory. The product is compliance.

Trump sued the IRS for $10 billion. His own DOJ settled the case. The deal created a $1.8 billion taxpayer-funded “anti-weaponization” fund AND permanently bars the IRS from examining his family’s past tax returns.

A president used agencies he controls to settle a lawsuit he brought in his personal capacity — then wrote himself tax immunity that applies to no other American. That’s not legal strategy. It’s self-dealing, executed in plain sight, with your money.

If Musk announced tomorrow he was cutting Starlink access to NATO allies over a personal disagreement — which he has already demonstrated the willingness and capacity to do — what would the US government do? No good answer exists. That's the argument.

Sunday, a federal jury took 90 minutes to dismiss the only case that could have imposed structural limits on converting nonprofit AI into private equity. The court never reached the merits. 23 days later, SpaceX lists at $1.75 trillion

Every previous infrastructure monopoly in America was eventually subjected to public oversight: Electric grid → regulated GPS → free public good Telephone → broken up Internet → open access SpaceX is the first to reach monopoly BEFORE regulation. The IPO makes regulation politically impossible.
