My first trip abroad in 20 years was more than I could’ve asked for. One permanent Scout Jamboree, 2000 scouts from around the world, 18 fantastic young Scots acing new challenges, 8 new volunteer BFFs & countless favourite memories. Kandersteg in Switzerland, a magic experience.

Lifelong learning is both terrifying and fulfilling in equal measure it turns out! I'm fairly certain my Nat 4 in Gaelic was more challenging than my Masters, my Service Design qualifications, or my Taekwondo Black Belt! This one's going in a frame.

Days ike these, walks like this with my boy and our friends… 👌🇨🇭 ⛰️

Took my giant to the Giants exhibit in National Museum of Scotland, thoroughly recommended!

All set to supervise my first Duke of Edinburgh expeditions. It’s all about challenge, unfamiliar territory, and learning new things about yourself… and that’s not just the young people it turns out! 🏕️

Not sure it was in the plan… but I am LOVING upskilling myself for new roles in the Scouts Scotland family with 20th Glasgow. Passed my Nights Away Permit assessment, led my first camp with a fantastic team of volunteers, and well on my way to becoming a Duke of Edinburgh Supervisor.

This was a bit fun!

Spent the day with my lovely friends from Gunma Prefecture in Japan, hearing about their work on social and emotional skills and the culmination of a 3 year joint research project with Scotland. As always we learn so much from sharing.
