Accidentally giving away that nobody is going to be able to claim it. Should have made it a plausible number.

Trump: "Anybody reporting Voter Fraud in the past Elections, or the upcoming 2026 Midterm Election, will be paid $1,000,000 upon the arrest and conviction of those that created the Fraud! Thank you for your attention to this matter. President DONALD J. TRUMP"

My pal Danielle Koenig shared that her father Walter Koenig passed away last night at age 90. A performer whose kindness and warmth shone through the screen. He will be well remembered.

"There is some point at which we have spent SO much money on AI that it finally results in productivity gains that make it all worth it" is the new Laffer Curve.

Conor Sen@conorsen.bsky.social

My point is that there are a lot of issues we’re trying to address and we need more productivity to address them all rather than having to triage.

The only reason many of those massive Imperial Roman arches are still standing in Rome was that the medieval aristocratic families found them more useful as keeps and guard towers to build their family defensive fortifications around, rather than quarries to cut up for stone. So, tbh, kinda classic!

President Trump said his proposed 250-foot triumphal arch will now be a “top grade” military complex that will house drones, snipers and ammunition “for National Security purposes.” https://wapo.st/4deuPN5

"I happen to know some fifth-graders, and statistically it is likely that one or two of them will grow up to be terrific investment bankers, but I would never want to guess which ones."

I practically went RUNNING to grab mine from the shelf and check

Richard Wells@slipperyjack.bsky.social

Good grief, thanks to a video on Instagram, I've just discovered that the Criterion edition of Lone Wolf & Cub (that I've had on my shelf for about 9 years) has a secret compartment in the spine containing the blueprint for the weaponised babycart..!

"What if we create super-intelligences that out-think us, outlive us, take control of all our resources, and decide to enslave us?" You fucking dummies, we've already done that, they're called corporations.

When he puts it that way, it sounds like the President was re-elected specifically as a Communist accelerationist plot to ensure their viability starting more or less now. Did this bozo just give the game away?

DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin: "The only way you can take a republic country like the United States and turn it into a communist country is by causing chaos on purpose and then saying, 'hey look, government is a mess. You need us, the communist country, to rule you.' It's insane."

Every time I see "Woke 1.0" it makes me think we should just get all of Woke into a source control repository with branching and proper versioning and some unit tests. Then we can ask Claude to explain what it actually does and also to fix all its problems with no mistakes.

Dave was a fellow Central Valley Air Force brat. I met him and @jhwilliams3.bsky.social around the same time, when they were just starting to figure it out, this whole making-comics thing. For thirty years, you were always about to read another comic he had just done.

Alejandro Arbona 🇵🇷@alejandrobot.com

Shocking and very sad to hear about the death of Dave Lanphear, the amazing letterer of Immortal Iron Fist, and Fantastic Four in…¡Isla de la Muerte! (among countless others), two comics that still rank among my career highlights to this day. Great guy, genius letterer, a true artist and craftsman.

Going out on a limb here to guess that literally nobody asked the obvious next question that should have instantly followed up.

Reporter on Bond Market: The yields have come back up since then. Have you talked to Bessent about another type of intervention.? Trump: The ultimate intervention is our military. And if we have to use that, we will.

Cannot wait to hate-watch this movie about the SCUBA guy being eaten by a sperm whale and surviving. Sixty minutes of air my ass, you’ll burn a thousand PSI just flailing around like that in the whale’s mouth.

Man if I were the reporter who struck this vein I would keep mining it until someone stopped me with force. “How long do you think they should stay out there without respite? Do you expect other armed forces to have equally long deployment? Say more.”

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Q: The family members of US service members are concerned about the conditions on the USS Lincoln TRUMP: No they're not Q: Has the deployment gone on too long? TRUMP: No no no. Not nearly long enough.
