Since I'm currently unable to login to #ffxiv (sadge) I guess I'm catching up on playing other games in my backlog. I got MonHun Wilds recently, and am working through that story... also revisting No Man's Sky after completing the recent expedition. Well I hope they resolve the login issue soon!

Besides this ridiculous addiction to FFXIV, I've got a Satisfactory play going (streams Sat-Sun-Mon), Elite Dangerous occasionally (CMDR SpaceBnuy), and picked up MonHun Wilds recently. But gosh I also have such a backlog... 😅

Maybe first time fighting Nerscylla as a new player was the wrong time to think: "I'm going to learn how to do offset attacks with greatsword!" ...at this point in the story I think I didn't really have good armor options. BUT I am sticking with greatsword!

So for my current #UE5 learning project, I set aside UI issues for now, implemented some gameplay functions, and could switch over to learning terrain meshes. Think I need to go for a walk and get better ideas for the gameplay functions and the UI they need, tho.

Bad news, friends.. or good news, potentially! I've re-created my OC in yet another game. Snowclaw started as a WoW DK, made an appearance as a D2 Titan, ported into FFXIV as DRK, and now a MonHun Wilds GS wielder.

Queued for Eden: Litany as DRK A little death here and there, NBD. Then mechs overlap and get more demanding, and it's just me (DRK), WAR, SAM, and 35% to go. Healer says it's a wipe. RESPECTFULLY, DISAGREE. I continue to MT with the gang to victory! Healer says "WAR gaming". THE DISRESPECT! 💢

Followed a #UE5 UI material tutorial which really liked making blueprint spaghetti. Was also a mess because of many hard-coded values, which I broke out into parameters and bound them to 0..1; straightened the blueprint and I have this! Now just to tie my controller logic to it.
