Ces actes de violence menacent le droit fondamental des enfants de recevoir une éducation de qualité et empêchent les enseignantes et enseignants de de faire leur travail. Nous sommes aujourd’hui solidaires des élèves, du personnel enseignant et des communautés scolaires frappés par la guerre.

All children deserve a safe environment to learn and grow. Unfortunately, around the world, attacks on educational institutions, students, and teachers continue to rise. These acts of violence threaten the fundamental right to quality education and impede teachers’ ability to carry out their work.

This year, under the theme “Literacy for people, the planet and prosperity”, the #LiteracyDay celebrates its 60th anniversary.
