Not the Steam Next Fest fomo 😭 I don’t know how I got so busy that it’s still going to take me a few weeks to even work my way through LudoNarraCon games! Why is it so hard to accept that slow and steady just had to be the way sometimes 🥲

Hmm.. the fomo has died seeing that there are more demos than ever before and no way to filter genAI stuff. Curating games from these things used to be fun, low stakes treasure hunt where you couldn’t go wrong, now seems more like a marathon with leaf covered spike pits along the route 😅

Unless changes are made by Valve, I think I may leave Next Fests behind and only participate in the more curated festivals/showcases. They aren’t what they used to be, and if you are an indie game dev with a legit game truly looking to break out, I think the seasonal showcases are the way forward.

I’m pretty sure I’m near the end of Crow Country but I don’t want it to end. Heavy regrets not recording this one, it is absolute Noob candy, but alas.

Constantly fighting the urge to start a new save file on The Binding of Isaac, record everything and upload all of my no commentary successful runs. Literally no one wants that, but I’m never going to play Repentance if I don’t make it into a project 🥲
