Tenebris Somnia Review 10/10 "Using filmmaking as a storytelling element while having beautifully shot FMVs is a stroke of genius. The intentionally minimalistic survival horror gameplay isn’t so simple that it loses appeal, but rather, it emphasises the elements that made it great from the start."

Odd Town (PC) Review - 5/10 "Odd Town offers a distinctive visual style, a nice blend of silly and dark humour, and an interesting mystery wrapped in a compact French town. There's a great idea here, and plenty of personality, but not quite enough depth or refinement to make it all work."
#ResidentEvil 4: Gold Edition (Switch 2) - 8/10 "There are some changes to various bits of story that keep things fresh, and characters are more genuine than ever. It can feel overly familiar, but Resident Evil 4 has always been a blast to run through again, and it’s no different in this remake."
#StarWars: Galactic Racer Review - 9/10 "An absolute treat of a racing game. The roguelike element feels fresh, and the racing is a masterpiece; grappling with handling and acceleration makes for an awesome learning curve. Don’t sit on the fence; #GalacticRacer is exceptional and a must have."
#LegoBatman: Legacy of the Dark Knight Review - 9/10 "One of the best Lego games ever created. A slick and wonderful exploration of the history of Batman and crew that has some rough edges, but is ultimately so smart and well created that it’s hard not to smile the whole time it’s on."
EA Sports FC 27 Review - 5/10 "Despite countless reworked systems, #FC27 is more of the same. There are only slight graphic and audio improvements, the AI changes sometimes hinder the player rather than help them, and lastly, but not least, there are still countless pointless microtransactions."
#FireEmblem: Fortune’s Weave Review - 8/10 "Every gameplay mechanic and system requires strategic thought and investment, from the calendarised social sim aspect to the tremendous turn-based battles. This is cohesion in its finest form, even if it feels a little too staggering in its ambition."
#Metroid II: Return of Samus (Game Boy) Retro Review - 6/10 "One those early Game Boy experiences that’s equal parts fascinating and frustrating in that very specific late ‘80s/early ‘90s way. A relic of the past worth revisiting, but few are likely to see it to completion."
Veritas Tales: Witch of the Dark Castle Review - 7/10 "A fun narrative that fits its genre perfectly, alongside simple yet surprisingly immersive gameplay systems. While the visual quality is a bit imbalanced in places, the overall design remains rather compelling." www.cubed3.com/games/review...
#TheWitcher3: Wild Hunt – Remastered Review - 8/10 "The scale, the branching narrative and the stunning visuals make for an impressive title. The new features, graphical upgrades and inclusion of expansions enhance what is already an RPG great, but there are launch issues that need ironing out."
#WildArms 5 (PS2) Retro Review - 9/10 "Could be easily considered the best in the series and one of the best JRPGs on PlayStation 2. It's too bad that this has become a forgotten franchise, especially since it ended on such an awesome high note." www.cubed3.com/games/review...
Paratopic: Overdub Review 6/10 "An all right but slightly uneven reinterpretation of the original, expanding its uncanny, miserable microcosm with new scenes, environments and perspectives. Its atmosphere remains its major strength. An intriguing experience, though not a necessary upgrade."
Wobbly Life Review - 5/10 "Wobbly Life is a textbook example of a game that could have been amazing if it had strengthened its initial hook instead of straying deeply into new territory mid-development." www.cubed3.com/games/review...
Shape of Dreams Review - 7/10 "While not as beginner friendly as many others in the genre, there is a lot of depth and staying power for someone that wants a longer experience out of their game. The package overall is good, but a player has to know that they need to invest some time."
#Toem2 Review - 8/10 "If there was one word to describe #Toem 2, it would be “clever”. A cosy game that more than earns its title, and for that, it’s worth everyone's time to try." www.cubed3.com/games/review...
#SinReloaded Review - 7/10 "Beneath its flaws, Sin had something worth saving: ambition, personality and the feeling of a team eager to push the technology and do things differently. It’s the same uneven, memorable experience - only now one can enjoy it in 4K and pretend that was what was missing."
Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve Review - 10/10 "An improvement in everything that is #AceCombat, bringing back squadron commands and adding a plethora of different aircraft, special weapons and more. The cinematic visuals and twisting narrative immerse the player in the fantasy of being an ace pilot."
Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2 (Nintendo Switch 2) Review - 10/10 "What an excellent example of gaming that is collected here. If you’re a fan of shooting, sneaking and even occasionally laughing a little, this collection is a must buy." #MetalGear #MetalGearSolid #MGS
Artis Impact (Nintendo Switch) Review - 7/10 "With a bit of fine-tuning, #ArtisImpact could reach indie classic status. It offers something for everyone, from JRPG gameplay and immersive life-sim experiences to bleak existentialism and silly slapstick comedy."
#Delverium (Early Access) Preview "Delverium offers an appealing simplicity that's just fun to play, even if it’s not a complete product but a skeleton of one. It's enjoyable as it is, but there's a lot of empty space waiting to be filled." www.cubed3.com/features/pre...
The Day I Became a Bird (PS5) Review - 8/10 "Charming in all the right ways. The artwork is gorgeous, the story is relatable and well told, and the gameplay is, while perhaps a bit repetitive, largely fine. The ability to simplify controls make this an easy one to recommend."
The Perfect Pencil Review - 5/10 "Has the foundation for a great metroidvania but runs too far with the aspects that make it unique, such as how cryptic it is and its offbeat sense of humour. Its quirks are part of what makes it so distinct in the beginning, but they become increasingly overused."
#WildArms Alter Code: F (PS2) Review - 8/10 "An exceptional JRPG for the PlayStation 2, offering a wide breadth of gameplay systems and a compelling Wild West world to explore with fun characters. Fans of the original will largely enjoy this remake, but some aspects may raise an eyebrow."
#WellDweller (Switch) Review - 9/10 "A darker take on the metroidvania formula, Well Dweller combines quirky humour, rewarding exploration, smooth movement, and helpful tools to make completion far less cryptic than most in the genre." @kylethompsondev.bsky.social @tophatstudios.bsky.social
#Tenchu: Wrath of Heaven (PS2) Retro Review - 8/10 "One of the best and last of its kind. The controls and camera system may feel a bit crusty today, but despite these flaws, nothing else matches its polish, value, and dedication to the art of stealth." www.cubed3.com/games/review...
#ControlResonant (PS5) Review - 6/10 "A technical and artistic achievement, but it fumbles with the combat. Sadly, fighting is boring and repetitive, and fighting is something Dylan does a lot. Disappointingly, Resonant is a brilliant idea executed utterly flatly." www.cubed3.com/games/review...
Dune: Awakening (PS5) Review - 7/10 "A setting as heavily steeped in rich lore as the #Dune universe can be hard to properly encapsulate, yet Funcom seems to have done just that with #DuneAwakening, even if a few "gamey" issues hold it back." www.cubed3.com/games/review...
Constance (Nintendo Switch) Review - 4/10 "While Constance has fantastic art design and tries something new with its plot, its level design and imprecise controls undermine too much of the experience to make it easy to recommend." www.cubed3.com/games/review...
#StarWars: Zero Company (PC) Review - 9/10 "All of the hallmarks of a great strategy game with a deep set of battle mechanics and choices to make. The story is surprisingly gripping for a video game and interjects itself into one of the best eras of Star Wars." www.cubed3.com/games/review...
#WildArms 4 (PS2) Retro Review - 6/10 "Wild Arms 4 is the black sheep of the series for a good reason. Much of the franchise's flavour is gone, along with the cool Wild West motifs and music, leaving a decidedly bland game." www.cubed3.com/games/review...
Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy Review - 7/10 "While there are gaping holes, #Resonance tells a fun, swashbuckling story that stuns with amazing visuals and performances. The puzzles are excellent, but the same can't be said for the basic swordplay or exploration." www.cubed3.com/games/review...
Coffin Dodgers (Xbox One) Review - 3/10 "In an age of kart racers typically being mascot or movie tie-ins, Coffin Dodgers is a shame because Milky Tea Studios actually breaks the mould but then immediately squanders any momentum." www.cubed3.com/games/review...
Another Eden Begins (PC) Review - 6/10 "Is #AnotherEdenBegins worth playing? Absolutely. It’s just important to know what you’re getting into. It is a console version of a mobile game, and ultimately, it shows that in some very off-putting ways." www.cubed3.com/games/review...
#MDK2: Armageddon Review - 7/10 "It might not have been the technological or artistic breakthrough like the first game, but there aren’t many third-person shooters on the Dreamcast or PS2 as solid as this one that still feel great to play even after over 25 years." www.cubed3.com/games/review...
Ico (PS2) Review - 8/10 "There's no denying that Ico captures a specific mood and feeling. It sits somewhere between ethereal solitude and bittersweet melancholic awe. Sometimes a powerful and unique feeling can carry a game in spite of its flaws." www.cubed3.com/games/review...
Wild Arms 3 (PS2) Review - 10/10 "The most polished and well-designed #WildArms game, presenting a challenge where previous entries were inconsistent. The cast is unbelievably endearing, and Filgaia has never been more intriguing." www.cubed3.com/games/review...
#SuperWoden: Rally Edge Review - 7/10 A superb little indie that understands that racing is supposed to be fun, Rally Edge combines accessible handling, excellent progression, varied stages, and just enough competitive obsession for racing fans to keep coming back." www.cubed3.com/games/review...
The World Well: Blood of Caro (PC) - 8/10 "It doesn't merely put two girls in a fantasy world and calls that a story. It gives them a world worth exploring, reasons to keep moving forward and, eventually, characters worth caring about." www.cubed3.com/games/review...
Souldiers (PC) Review - 7/10 "Souldiers is close to being excellent, with gorgeous pixel art and a large world jam-packed with secrets, but it still needs some polish. For metroidvania enthusiasts and retro addicts, there is enough to enjoy here despite the flaws." www.cubed3.com/games/review...
Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 (PC) Review - 5/10 "Fans of the Alien series are often forced to deal with subpar experiences, and this comes in as one of them. The quality is simply lacking on many aspects. Not recommended even to fans of the series." www.cubed3.com/games/review...
Metal Slug Tactics Review - 6/10 "Its roguelite scaffolding will frustrate some hoping for something more conventional, but as a faithful tribute act with genuinely good mechanical ideas of its own, it's a bolder swing than any fan of the series might be expecting." www.cubed3.com/games/review...
Savara (PS5) Review - 5/10 "While blending games like Dauntless and Hades is an interesting idea in its own right, Savara is perhaps a more generic version of both of those games with watered-down mechanics and a thin storyline that lacks an effective hook." www.cubed3.com/games/review...
Culdcept: The First (PC) Review - 6/10 "While the original game was groundbreaking at the time, a lack of online multiplayer hurts this re-release. A shame, because it got so many things right that modern digital TCGs don't, like great balance and a unique concept." www.cubed3.com/games/review...
Beast of Reincarnation (PS5) Review - 8/10 "The narrative and execution won't deliver its potential, but the exploration and action are top-notch. The final stretch is where everything comes together and shines its brightest, leaving a powerful lasting impression." www.cubed3.com/games/review...
#DragonQuest Heroes: Torneko’s Mystery Dungeon Classic HD Review - 7/10 "Despite it being one of the first of its kind, it still manages to be engrossing and stimulating. It probably didn't need the visual overhaul, but it's an appreciated bonus." www.cubed3.com/games/review...
Star Wars: Zero Company (Xbox Series) Review - 8/10 "Putting this franchise in the XCOM style is a match made in heaven. The blend of tactical gameplay with the #StarWars gravitas really takes this experience up several notches." www.cubed3.com/games/review...
Aggelos 2 (Nintendo Switch) Review - 6/10 "The appealing retro visuals and rewarding movement upgrades make for an enjoyable adventure, but an unintuitive map and missing quality-of-life features make navigation more frustrating than it should be." www.cubed3.com/games/review...
#Mewgenics Review - 8/10 "Unpredictability and absurdity combine to craft one of the most appealing turn-based roguelites out there, with a sadistic concept that will have both cat lovers and non-lovers glued to their Switch 2 screens dozens of hours later." www.cubed3.com/games/review...
#Marsupilami 2: Salsa Palombia (PS5) Review - 8/10 "A very good platformer where it matters. Yes, there are some things holding it back, but in general, it’s a very solid 2.5D platformer that wrings everything out of its premise." www.cubed3.com/games/review...
Theropods (PC) Review - 5/10 "A visually charming but ultimately underwhelming adventure, Theropods has a neat prehistoric setting mixed with a light sci-fi premise, as well some fine pixel art and fluid animation, but all that never delivers anything memorable." www.cubed3.com/games/review...
