Would it be possible to crowd fund a probe with a telescope going into deep space, to use the sun as a gravitational lens to image promising nearby planets? A simple hardened memory device could take people’s poetry, novels, music, images, pet photos, and digital DNA to space for $100 per gigabyte.

Breaking News: The U.S. will no longer recommend the Covid vaccine for healthy children or healthy pregnant women, Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said.

Karoline Leavitt, "China needs to make a deal with us, we don't have to make a deal with them" "China wants what we have, what every country wants, what we have, the American consumer" "Or to put it another way they need our money"

Trump continues to brag that he’s taking in $2 billion a day in tariff money. While people will soon see it as a tax he’s charging them on the products they buy, nobody has asked Trump how long it’ll take that $2 billion a day to recoup the $6 trillion the market dropped in 2 days. (Over 8 years)

“I told those leaders, ‘The $5 trillion dollar bag of tariff money I’m collecting to give in tax breaks to businesses and rich folks isn’t full yet.’” Nobody’s asked how full that bag is or where the money is kept. Nobody’s asked why the countries too poor to buy US products should fill that bag.

At one of his frequent press conferences (because he loves being on TV), I'd love it if some reporter piped up with, "What do you say to people who call you a know-nothing narcissistic asshole, Mr. President?"

I’d go a step further. California gives the Fed far more than it takes. If the clCheesy Fed wants to play the Withholding Money Game, let’s get it on. We’ll give worse than we get. Not just Louisiana. All those poor performing red states can suck something other than the teet of California.

Someone tell that sanctimonious pixie Speaker Mike Johnson that if he places conditions on California's ability to rebuild, his state, Louisiana, the Welfare Queen of Federalism, won't be able to fix any of its roads because that money comes from the far more successful economy of California.

Like inviting a dog to the opera. Of course, the dog would behave better and be far more pleasant company.

California Governor Gavin Newsom invites Trump to visit the state to see the crisis firsthand, emphasizing the need for leaders to focus on helping displaced Americans rather than peddling lies and disinformation.

I have to take my pharmacist hostage. Because if he screws up my prescription, I could be without my heart medication.

Sen. Tommy Tuberville: "We've gotta take the Panama Canal back. We've gotta do something because if we were to happen to go to war with China over Taiwan and they were to shut the Panama Canal down, we'd have to go 8 to 10,000 miles just to get things back to the war zone."

This woman undermines the justice system every single day she remains on the bench.

NEW: Judge Aileen Cannon has issued an order BLOCKING the release of Jack Smith’s report. Interestingly, she did this 45 minutes before Jack Smith said he would transmit the report to Merrick Garland so Garland couldn’t release it first. www.nbcnews.com/politics/don...

Translation of the translation: Countries that bribe Trump will see their tariffs reduced. 1. Take something that isn’t yours. 2. Make the rightful owner pay to get it back. 3. Don’t give it all back. 4. Repeat. It’s the Trump technique. We’ve seen it from the Dreamer Act to government secrets

My message to Zuck

Destabilizing Musk and Trump? Wouldn’t that be kinda like waxing a candle?

Mark Cuban@mcuban.bsky.social

x X has ~18m daily USA users. @bsky.app, ~1.5m. Is it worth 20 MINS a day to proactively recruit and bring your friends, neighbors, relatives, businesses, anyone who is or could be a user, to @bsky.app? If Bluesky ends up with more users than the others, you destabilize musk, zuck, trump.

I’ve already shunned amazon for the entire Christmas shopping season, diverting hundreds of dollars to its competitors, over the decision to torpedo the presidential endorsement after it was written. Looks like my decision to do this until Bezos sells the WaPo is now reinforced.

Bravo, @anntelnaes.bsky.social. I guess the new slogan for the Washington Post ought to be: “Newspapers die in cowardice.” anntelnaes.substack.com/p/why-im-qui...

Some utter buttheads have neither shame nor compunction about driveling falsehoods like they were incontinent with misinformation.

George Takei@georgetakei.bsky.social

It’s not enough for “news” personalities to delete these kinds of posts. Such baseless and false claims need to not happen in the first place.

This IS a game changer. When’s the last time a president directly saved you $6,000? That’s what Biden did for people who max out their Medicare Part D prescription drug costs. You’d have to eat a whole lot of inflationary-priced eggs to offset that savings.

Morgan J Freeman@mjfree.bsky.social

Trump can’t come close.

Trump wrote: "When I said that the criminals coming in are far worse than the criminals we have in our country, that statement was constantly refuted by Democrats and the fake news media, but it turned out to be true." He never tires of being wrong. Let’s watch the media not hold him accountable.

🚨 Reports indicate that the attacker responsible for driving into a crowd in New Orleans’ French Quarter, resulting in 10 deaths and 30 injuries, is 42-year-old Shamsud-Din Jabbar, an American citizen and U.S. Army veteran born and raised in Texas.

Anyone who’s worked in the Silicon Valley has seen H1B visas used to artificially keep wages down. When SAP first bought Virsa (a company with many visa workers from India) the clear wage disparity could be seen in vehicles. It was a Tale of Two Parking Lots.

L.Edwards 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡 MAGA just got slap in the face by Elon Musk. The entire MAGA movement wanted to ban H1B visa programs. This was allowed foreign workers in high tech positions. But musk took to Twitter that Americans are to dumb and to uncultured to handle these high end tech jobs. Billionaires?

This is his pattern of greenmailing corruption: 1. Take something that isn’t yours, (Dreamer Acts, government secrets, tariff-free trade, Panama Canal( 2. Make victims pay to get it back. 3. Take the offer and try to keep the appropriated property or other item of value anyway.

Jon Cryer@mrjoncryer.bsky.social

Did he ask President Musk if it was okay to say this?
