This is pretty much how everything I build happens... 1. Notice friction: post sidebar feels cluttered 2. Experiment: carousel, collapsible tags, moved metadata 3. Ship it to my 12 readers

We decided to shut down Plumb this week (and I'm ending 5 years at Murmur Labs). We built something special, but it was time to fold up the tent. I'll share more reflections later but for now, my focus is on helping this amazing team find their next home, either together or on their own. 💜

Lately, these creatures have been showing up — soft-bodied, half-formed, somewhere between emotion and memory. I’ve started calling them Kindlets. They’re the small, tender fragments of self: a forgotten wish, a moment of shame, something I never had words for.

Telling AI “don’t show a pink elephant” almost guarantees it will. Negation doesn’t work—because models focus on what’s named. Want better prompts? Say exactly what you want.

Saw a guy wearing a Sleep Token shirt at the grocery store, so I asked him what he thought about "Even in Arcadia". We talked for 20 minutes and it was just really a highlight.

Been finding a lot of value in getting some musings out of my mind and onto paper. #musings #graphicdesign #poem #poetry #illustration #eink #supernote

New @supernote.com screensaver I made. Wonder lives in the spaces between—where the familiar fades into the unknown, and curiosity carves paths into the vastness. What stories does this landscape hold? What mysteries linger beneath its silent skies? Let’s step closer and find out.

I'm really hoping the Bluesky algorithm brings me some Supernote/e-ink users into my feed. ✨🤘 If you're into curiosity, having fun and making rad stuff, I'd love to float this stream with you!

I was confused where all the VS Code/Cursor sidebar sections in "Source Control" went. Iit looks like GitLens updated and rolled them up into a single heading. If you use those, here's how you can put the sections back into the Source Control panel... www.loom.com/share/37ca16...

loom.comUnderstanding GitLens Stashes UpdateHey there! In this video, I discuss the recent update in GitLens regarding stashes. I noticed that after the update, all stash-related information now resides within GitLens, which might not be ideal ...

40% of our productive time is lost to task-switching. That's not a small problem - it's a massive productivity tax we're all paying. Imagine if your tools just...worked together. No switching needed. That's the promise of this idea I'm calling Ambient AI!

The best technology is the one you forget exists. Think about your heating system - it just works. That's where AI needs to go. Less prompting, more ambient understanding. Who else is tired of managing their productivity tools? 🤔

The irony of needing AI to protect me from AI spam is not lost on me. Gmail's spam filter seems like it has officially given up on filtering the flood of AI cold emails.

Someone asked why I don't want to throw little pieces away (offcuts) and I told them I can still use them for things. I made a corner clamp with an off cut and my existing bar clamps. I used it to make a box for offcuts that were too small to rack.
