Boy, with Caution finished, loved it. Want to watch miserable self-destructive people desperately cling to yet also push each other away? Boy, do I have a show for you.

Finished Kamen Rider Zeztz. It was a lot of fun. Has the same head writer as Geats, so it's sometimes a bit overly plottwisty for its own sake, but mostly a strong outing.

Fujimi Orchestra (2012). Insane writing, tonal shifts, bad acting, and full of 90s BL tropes. It's a wild but not good ride. Also as far as they get adapting the 50+ novel series, what happesn is decidedly not a romance yet.

A better written story could do something with the "people are messsy, life is complicated, sometimes all that happens is that you keep hurting each other and yourself" undertones, but this never really commits to anything.

Tales of Phantasia, the JRPG where people poop. Tho legit, I always admired the attention to detail in this game. The house interiors are practically and lived in designed. Birds will fly by, flowers bend in the breeze, heat smoke coming off pots, curtains flutter in the wind...

Watching a compilation of first time reactors to movies really shows the media literacy crisis we are in. Because at least 75% of these people in their 20s will visibly struggle to keep up with the themes of a kid's movie.

BL: Boku no Kareshi wo Shokai Shimasu (2009). What I expected: An anthology of four short fluffy romances without much substance. What I got: An anthology of short fluffy romances, that's also a pink film, haha.

Random Recs instead of actual Search Results, Shorts pushed over long form videos, and now AI Slop Playables cluttering up my sidebar. Soon Youtube will be absolutely unusable bc nothing it shows me is gonna be what I'm there to actually watch anymore.

It's 2029. I click on a youtube video. It plays a completely different one instead that the algorithm deemed more interesting for some reason. The AI slop behind making that decission raises earth's temp by another degree.

Onimusha 2: Samurai's Destiny Remaster done. The bigger, bolder sequel. Yet this one didn't click with me as well as the first one did. We'll see if that's a fluke in like five to six years when they drop a Remaster of the third game for me to play.

Hush! (2001) was an interesting movie about a gay couple and the woman that wants a baby from one of them. It's suprisingly hard to process my feelings on it. Did I like it? Sometimes its just nice to watch a movie that is challening you on some level.

Me: I feel like a fishing game, but it's also spooky month... Magical Company: Well... Me: A FUN fishing game Black Salt Games: Do we have a game for you

I didn't expect much from Happy Game, but it was a fun 90 minutes of figuring out how to interact with stuff to progress through a kid's nightmare.

Love You Teacher was a very pleasant surprise. It's sounds like a whacky comedy, but offers very sensible portrayals of mental health issues. Like how OCD is not just haha funny quirks but can be crippling in everday life, or how it is ok to be exhausted when you become your partner's care taker.

Oh, speaking of Konami, which published it in Europe, one more game I almost forgot. Last weekend, I replayed Hellnight. The PS1 horror game where you explore a weird underground labyrinth while an ever mutating monster chases you through the tunnels.

Lastly, Castlevania Legends. I'm too bad at games for Classicvania, unless it has an easy mode. And like Rebirth, Legends does! With the whip always upgraded, generous mid level checkpoints, and infinite continues, I did it. The music is really good!

I also replayed Innsmouth no Yakata, which takes like 30 minutes, since the passwords let you resume immediately at the stage you lost, so you never have to redo any. It's a horror themed shooter on the Virtual Boy, and honestly, I think it's one of its cooler and better games.

If you are into the mood for some quick horror fix, itchio is always a good library to peruse. I played The Mist, Neighbor, Bitterroot and The Melting Apartment this weekend. All done in 20-40 minutes of exploring some creepy incident in low-fi GB aesthetics.

Meccha! Taiko no Tatsujin DS: 7-tsu no Shima no Daibouken done. This time I got all (50) songs, since you can just grind them out instead of having to do harder and harder dojo challenges.

Very emblematic of my issue with the Silent Hill 2 remake is the situation in the second apartment part, where the floors are littered with dead enemies. Of course I expected one of them to surprise attack me on the way back. No, all of them got up. Because it's SH2R.

Finished Taito's PS2 remake of Ys III, first time playing the Wanderers from Ys version. Looks better than the budget 3D of the following IV and V. Is pretty unbalanced, you either take no or all the damage. Final boss being a flyer who barely opens the weak spot is annoying.

I forgot Raidou Kuzunoha has a sub story where Belial and Nebiros decide to be Alice's two gay dads ready to build a cozy home for the three of them.

Stage-Struck Tora-san (1978) has its highlights when Nana Kinomi as Nanako is torn between her love for her job at a revue and the man she loves wanting to marry her (for which she'd have to end her career). But often the movie feels a bit aimless.

I love watching small streamers with only a few dozen followers and like 1-5 people chatting. It feels cozy. But usually they disappear after about half a year, haha.

Pocket Love, being the Gameboys first Dating Sim, coming from no other than KID, is pretty much TokiMemo light: Only half a school year, no bombs, easy to get your stats up and have several girls fall for you. The gimmick apparently was that it came with a CD to play for voided dialogue.

Crazy to think that 15 years ago on a message board you could start a topic about a 5 year old show and get a whole big discussion going. When now it seems a month after the last episode dropped, everyone's moved on to the next thing and is all talked out. Discourse (cycles) have become so different

Tora-san Plays Cupid (1977), as the name implies, Tora is busier messing with the love life of two young lovebirds than being hopelessly in love himself (tho he obligatory gets that in a bit at the end, too).

Two more playthroughs of Silent Hill 𝑓 done to get Ending 2-5: The 𝑓riend, the 𝑓ox, and the 𝑓ull emancipation. Also, the U𝑓O doggo is here.
