Diminish an anime Bubblegum Problem

Come see my panel at Otakon on Sunday at 12:45pm! The to-the-day 40th anniversary of Laputa!

Discovered this dude when trying to figure out why Episode 21 of Sherlock Hound was animated so much better than all the other non-Miyazaki episodes. Turns out Yoshinobu Michihata was the animation director for that one ep.

I like stuff like this. Probably many titles could replace each other on different categories.

Name your fave martial arts film

Anime you’ve watched more than six times with a gif. Hard mode: no Streamline, Manga Ent., or Toonami

Now I have foiled the grand conspiracy against me (getting the day off work) I can proudly announce my contribution to the Anime Lockdown '25 programming. Come hear one local nut go wild about the most outrageous occult cartoons THEY want kept hidden from you in ANI-MU: THE LOST CONTINENT 🗿

A very enjoyable Otakon this year. Friends from far away, a good slate of fan panels, and (from my perspective) good crowd management and organization. Can’t wait for next year!

Please come see me at my panel at Otakon! Miyazaki Before Ghibli is Saturday at 10:15am! #otakon2025

This is really exciting!

The Raven Doesn’t Choose its Master was a lot of fun. Hiding beneath a lot of fantasy/court intrigue decoration it is weirdly a murder mystery show at heart. Kindaichi Case Files meets Of a New World?

Excited to see Criterion continuing to wade into HK action cinema with Eastern Condors. I’d love to see them release (or rerelease) some more Heroic Bloodshed! www.criterion.com/films/30736-...

@cjlines.bsky.social I loved your awesome essay in the Dragons Forever Blu-ray. Really excellent work!

I was very happy with the attendance and response to my panel, as I thought it was gonna be kinda niche and maybe one of those things only I am interested in! The many kind comments made me really appreciate the Otakon community. Thanks to all who came! #otakon2024
