The only gripe I personally have against this movie is it's comedy. More often than not whenever it stops to explicitly try to make a joke it really feels out of left field and doesn't really land. But there are moments where it goes for a much drier humor that it lands

I'm preaching the same choir but all this to say. GO WATCH THIS MOVIE. NOW. This is easily my movie of the year, I'm usually not one to double dip movies while they're still in theaters but. Christ I might 10/10

The story while a bit tropey, is amazingly put together and beautifully emotional, it is kind of insane what they were able to get away with in terms of battle scenes and still keep the Pg13 rating.

The performances were stellar across the board but the biggest shoutout truly is to Carey Mulligan as Alexandra, she commanded the scene whenever she was on screen to make such an amazing villain

Oooh this was the one. Between Super Mario Galaxy and Brand New Day this was my most anticipated movie this year, and oh my god Laika delivered. I don't know what I can even say that hasn't been said yet

This movie is stunningly gorgeous, that much is obvious. My jaw was on the floor the entire time watching as I've been following every BTS look they dropped and knowing the blood sweat and tears that got put into this.

When people were saying this movie followed the game formula they really weren't kidding. One thing I wasn't expecting at all (because I admittedly had not seen a single trailer for this) This movies like, hilarious? Almost entirely to Austin Abram's performance

Though the humor *for the most part* didn't detract from some great scares, some of the monster designs in this movie were pretty nuts. Though in the back half the humor can be a bit much. I personally really adored the ending as contentious as it's been 8/10

Kinda neat timing for this movie, considering me and some buddies have been showing us the Resident Evil games (currently about halfway through 3) so I was able to appreciate a lot of the little things with this movie after getting more acquainted

I literally did this in like 10 minutes, and it feels like it goes against the point of the project to practice likenesses. But if I just drew Will Forte or something then it just felt silly because why would I not draw Wile E Coyote

There's not really much I can critically say about this movie tbh. Just a really fun time lmao. Will Forte and John Cena were hilarious, the practical effects were great. I feel like this movie would hit harder for people who have a bit more history with Looney Tunes than I do.

The one real nitpick I have is for the most part the 3D animated characters look pretty good, but between a few characters getting 2D animation and some characters (Foghorn Leghorn) really not looking as great in the 3D animation it felt a tad inconsistent 8/10

Rewatching Monkey Wrench because of the Netflix drop, and somehow I never noticed this tease in the background every other time I've watched the series lol. I genuinely had to double take the Youtube version. Zeurel you clever bastard

The action was jaw dropping, seeing a live-action Spidey pulling the stunts that Destin Daniel Cretton did for this movie. Give this man a fucking trilogy. I was seeing alot of the comparisons people were having to that of Matt Reeve's The Batman...

I know I'm not multiple weeks late posting this one so I'm gonna be vague but like. It's just amazing. Tom Holland and Jon Bernthal had such hilarious chemistry getting such good laughs even after the heaviest moments in the middle

(I know this is because Nolan tries to do nearly as much practical as he can) and the time dilation stuff and timeline jumping kinda took a minute to get used to. The performances were really amazing, I do not understand the hate Tom Holland was getting especially.

Okay okay drawings late, and Imma be real I don't like this one much. Anyway THE MOVIE ITSELF This was my first Nolan movie aside from The Dark Knight Trilogy which I personally, am not that big a fan of. Overall really good

I have some minor nitpicks personally with the way some scenes were filmed, namely how during a lot of the monster encounters like the cyclops or Scylla just cuts around way too much to ever get a good look at it for my taste

Maybe it's just the fact that I hadn't read the original Woman of Tomorrow book that I don't necessarily see the flaws in this adaptation. To me this movie doesn't do anything spectacular, but nothing egregious either (save for the actual visuals this movie is BLEAK looking)

Milly Alcock and Jason Mamoa were both entertaining, I found the villain a little lackluster. Some pretty good action with mostly good needle drops. Idk this movie is a perfect middle of the road capeshit romp for me 7/10

My expectations were very mellow going in, I knew it wasn't going to blow me away the same way Superman had the year prior just from the trailers. I was seeing so much hate for this movie as I was going in that had me a little curious but like

I really could not get into this movie. It really feels like it drops you into a story that is like an hour into it's runtime, the plot is derived off of conveniences and some of the stupidest bad guys I've ever seen. And the ending is just .. pretentious

The finale, though? I honestly didn't get the hate it was receiving when it leaked. I was... entirely spoiled by the time I actually got into my theater seat and was just waiting to see how it actually plays out

While there was some stuff I wish got a bit more proper elaboration, honestly a pretty good finale. I'm being vague because it's still a week out from the Youtube Premiere. If I had to rate this as a movie it's probably like 7-8ish

Is this technically a movie? Idk. Maybe I just wanted an excuse to draw Pomni, so I'm counting it lol. Watching Episode 8 in a theater might have genuinely been one of the worst theater experiences I've ever had lmao

If I can be so for real, I normally try to slap little reviews down here just to give my thoughts and everything... I kinda got nothing to add to the conversation with this one. It's pure definition of a "yeah it's good" movie to me lol, I saw it out of sheer boredom. 7.5/10
