This October I'll be chairing the session on Computational Genomics from Cell Fate to Genome Function — bringing together early-career researchers across molecular biology, biomedicine, genomics, immunology, cell biology, computational biology, ecology & evolution.

Congrats on the amazing work @jgahan.bsky.social and the team!

James Gahan@jgahan.bsky.social

Very happy to see our paper published online natcomms.nature.com. Thank you to @wellcometrust.bsky.social for funding this work during my time with @robklose.bsky.social and David Booth! Thanks also to collaborators @garcialabms.bsky.social @alexdemendoza.bsky.social and the other authors!

I am very proud to see @kkajan.bsky.social and Marta Bosnjakovic from my group presenting their exciting results obtained from #CAGE data! #CroAGE #nextGenerationEU

CroAGE Project@croage.bsky.social

🚀 Exciting update! Proud to share that our team members @kkajan.bsky.social and Marta Bošnjaković presented their research at the Mechanisms of Eukaryotic Transcription at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, Aug 26–30! #cshlmoet 🎤🧬 Thank you #nextGenerationEU for the opportunity!

🚀 The CroAGE team is attending to Liverpool for #ISMBECCB2025! Catch our CAGE & promoter research posters all week at ACC Liverpool. Thank you #nextGenerationEU for the opportunity🧵

Do we really need large language models to tell us that the germline residue is the optimal one? One of the questions Charlotte Dean tackled in her talk at #ISMBECCB2025, and how she and her team addressed the problem of germline bias in antibody target prediction 🧬🔬💻🤖

Finally, as a new member of the @embo.org YIP, it was an excellent opportunity to meet fellow EMBO YIP members and network with my peers through excellent science at the #EMBO YIP Annual Meeting in Heidelberg. I am looking forward to exciting new collaborations

I am glad to announce that the #DANIO-CODE Data Coordination Center is back online at a new home: danio-code-dcc.genereg.net Thank you all for your patience and sorry for any inconvenience!

I am happy and extremely proud to be able to contribute to this work with Irène Amblard and @vmetzis.bsky.social, where by changing one motif we completely rewired the function of a regulatory element!🔬🧬 Now out in Developmental Cell!

Vicki Metzis@vmetzis.bsky.social

Paper alert! I am really pleased to share the final version of the work led by Irène Amblard in the team on a regulatory switch controlling Cdx2 expression during posterior body development! #regulatorylogic #devbio @mrc-lms.bsky.social @imperialmed.bsky.social

It was my pleasure to be a part of the birth of a legend at the #TCTeAC

Bojan Žunar@bzunar.bsky.social

One last thanks to the #TCTeAC organisers, especially @svobodalab.bsky.social‬. And shoutout to all whom I met throughout the killing game: @majakuzman.bsky.social for organising, @da-bar.bsky.social for bodyguarding, @valeriyk1.bsky.social for scouting, @itaiyanai.bsky.social for enabling, /1

I am excited to see the method we used in DANIO-CODE now fully developed as #IPP — and successfully tested on heart enhancers between chicken 🐔 and mouse 🐭! 🧬 Thanks to @danielibrahim.bsky.social for leading this. Proud to be part of it! Exciting times for future comparative regulatory analyses 🚀

Failure is always in the background of any creative project; when the experiments are not working or the results don’t seem to make sense. But for discovery, you can’t deny yourself the permission to fail, and we should better teach failure in all its glory.
