My softball team, the Plastix, played in the Gay Softball World Series in Columbus Ohio last week. We went 4-3, and were knocked out of the tournament on Thursday evening. It was extremely hot and humid. It was a great experience.

Emerald City Softball held their end of year awards party Sunday. My team voted me as one of their All Stars. And the league named me Rookie of the Year for my Division. I was really moved by this. Thank you everyone, but especially to our manager Cody who built our team and made me feel so welcome.

Second: we won the Emerald City Classic tournament outright, going undefeated in 7 games over 2 days! I played with a back injury, but it was so much fun. Here is a great photo of the aftermath of a chaotic play in the Championship Game, where i had to run, crawl and dive to reach home plate.

So some exiting updates on my softball team. First, we earned a berth in the Gay Softball World Series! Yaaaay! We will be competing there in Columbus Ohio the week of sep 1-5. Goooo Plastix! I am so exited to play in the GSWS for the first time.

This whole weekend was so much fun. Our team went 5-0 on Saturday and ended with two hard fought losses to good teams on Sunday. My team and I partied at the end of tournament party at Eagle MSP. I got invited to mt teammate’s family lake house. I made hamburgers with my sister Cat who lives in MSP.

My LGBTQ+ softball team, the Seattle Plastix, played in the Northstar Classic Tournament in the Twin Cities Minnesota this Memorial Day weekend. This was my first out of town tournament. It was exhausting and unbelievably fun. I am so glad I joined the ECSA this year. I love my teammates.

There is no way I am going to Australia without spending some time at the beach. This is Carickalinga Beach, about an hours drive south of Adelaide. Fine white sand, crystal clear cool water, calm surf, hardly any other people. Gorgeous spot. Seriously considering moving here.

After the field course, I joined Eddie Banks and Mike Hatch for some NMR measurements of groundwater along the Murray River basin. The Murray River is a critical source of water for Australian agriculture, and for towns and cities in South Australia.

I just spent 9 days in South Australia. First teaching a 3-day field course on magnetic resonance geophysics. This was course was organized by Flinders University and included professionals from industry and academia throughout Australia. I really enjoyed meeting and working with you all.

Hey everyone! Huge news! Our trans girl scout list has sold a total of 146,000 boxes as of today! But MANY trans girl scouts only have 20, 30, 40 boxes sold. I just resorted our list to put those on the top. Go get your girl scout cookies and make a trans kid's day!

I was actually just trying to navigate to a gay bar to meet up with my fellow softball players after a tryout. But I am certainly honored to have participated in this important protest event. Stay strong Minnesota.

Many thanks to the Minnesota National Guard for stepping up and protecting their fellow citizens. Reminder: we do still have professional and dedicated service members willing to put themselves in harms way to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States. www.tiktok.com/@wcconews/vi...

I spent this past week in Chile. Santiago may be the most pleasant large city I have ever visited. The Salar de Atacama is surreal. Spending any time outside the USA these days, you appreciate how much un-needed stress Americans experience on a daily basis.

It was super fun wearing the Spider Gwen mask and trying to rollerskate at the same time. After a few minutes thr lenses fogged ip so much that I was pretty much blind and had to hold my partners’ arm for guidance.

More pics from Ben and Anna’s wedding last weekend. Ben is in the tux, me with my older sister Tina, Ben’s mom. Another pic is Evlin with Ben’s sister Amanda. Tina, Ben and Amanda lost their spouse and dad Trevor about 20 years ago to a sudden cardiac failure. We are very proud of them all.

My daughter Evlin (in green dress) and I were very proud to attend the wedding of my nephew Ben and his beautiful bride Anna, in Wilmington NC last weekend. We met lots of nice people, of all ages and backgrounds. It was the first time most of my relatives have seen me as Dae Dae.

So I switched to a spinner and caught a beautiful wild Cutthroat Trout right along the bank on the far side. In this video I take my eye off my lure for one second and that is right when a trout tries to hit my spinner.
