The album tracks on The 59' Sound Sessions are all better than those on The 59' Sound itself.

Nobody has ever listened the Demo version of a band's already released song more than twice.

A very dear friend and antifascist comrade is facing serious charges resulting from defending migrants housed in hotels in Bristol from a far right march in 2025. He's a father, has £11k in legal fees up front, and may be facing prison time if he doesn't win. Please dobate below.

It’s 48 Hours until the Kickstarter for Windlesham’s Folly ends and it currently stands at £550 with 28 backers. I’m happy with that as it’s a decent amount considering what I do and, fewer packages to send out. But, I’d also like a few more backers as I think I’ve made something quite good.

Windlesham’s Folly is an experimental comic, an illustrated transcript of a long lost podcast that tells a done in one story. What really happened that night when Cassandra Oakes recorded the very last episode of A Wyrd Turn? A bit folk horror & a mystery solved over 24 black and white pages.

I like listening to short horror stories, mostly through Spotify. I saw a new channel recently and thought I'd give it a go. I listened to the first one and it seemed Ok. Narration was a bit amateurish and the story was quite atmospheric but a bit generic. cont...

I listened to the third episode and yet again there were the same weird, uncanny phrasings, narration blips and generic plotlines. I looked at the posting dates and the episodes were dumped all at once and then a new one every few days. You can see where this is going...

It's all AI. Stories written by AI that regurgitate Creepy Pasta ideas and an AI narration falling over itself. Anyway, if you too like short horror audio, avoid The empty Country.

I listened to the second story and again, some stumbling narration and an ok but pretty by the numbers plot. I also noticed some weird phrases and odd metaphors. There was a lot of metaphors where they weren't reallyneessary.

So it's a week to go until the campaign reaches its end and the book is comfortably funded right now. been a bit slow this week but that's to be expected, plus it's hard to get the word out there due to the choking algorithms of social media. www.kickstarter.com/projects/dan...

I only use Bluesky and Instagram (reluctantly) so I appreciate the support of everyone who has shared Windlesham's Folly on their own feeds. There are still plenty of Original Art Pages and one Commission slot up for grabs if anyone is a collector.

Central to Windlesham's Folly is the tower itself, here's how Cassandra Oakes described it back in that notorious final episode: 'A tower of little architectural significance or value, built from Neolithic stones by a posh mad man'.

Snippet from Windlesham's Folly, currently on Kickstarter. I love when you can see the pencil lines, pen strokes, ink bleeds and other artefacts of the process. I intentionally kept things loose and very visibly hand drawn, a kickback to the amount of AI Slop your bombarded with day by day.

I will be contributing a nice little 4 pager about Big Cats and Brain Parasites to this anthology.
